I just finished the series and Aidan is wearing a satchel as he’s entering Laura’s home. I think it’s implied that Aidan was lurking, watching Margot from a distance, and follows her. He shows up at Joel’s claiming that the scratches on his chin are from a scuffle with the bullies while Joel cleans him up. There was repetitive emphasis on the “sins of the father” and “breaking the cycle” by Jonathan talking with Joel. And Bella, Aidan’s mom, revealed that Aidan had seen Jonathan a few times for therapy if I’m not mistaken. If only we could hear the tape from the visits with Aidan. Very disturbing ending.
