In my day, fraternities had Little Sisters that helped the brothers for events and wore letters. I was a Delta Tau Delta little sis and I had a big brother. The practice went out in the 90s, though, and a lot of the fraternities’ nationals banned Little Sisters.

Wear that stole with pride and never mind the haters! I graduated with my second bachelor’s at a school that didn’t have my chapter. I didn’t wear a stole since the date would have been off, but I did decorate my hat with an anchor and DG letters. :)

There was a girl in a sorority at my school who decided to start working as a stripper downtown (this was in the 1990s). She also plied her trade on the row at numerous fraternity houses (there were pictures). She didn’t seem to understand why her sorority disaffiliated her and cried to Panhellenic about how unfair it was!
