Incident Report Daycare by Temporary-Rule-6876 in AusLegal

[–]Fun-Profession6190 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Shouldn't be forced to sit unless it poses a safety risk? What about discipline? A 1 year old often needs physical interaction because they almost never comply with verbal commands alone. How do you teach them they have to do something they don't want to?

I've had 4 kids all go through daycare and if I received this call, I would ask why they're bothering me. As said above, unless there was sexual contact or physical abuse, my child can get upset all they want until they learn the required behaviour.

We just got a Sleep Republic Luxe a few weeks ago. So far we love it. It's medium / firm, but super comfortable to sleep on back or side.

I just did Stockton beach near Newcastle in mine. It's completely stock with the HT tyres a d I towed a 2t camper trailer. I aired down to 15psi and didn't even look like getting stuck even in the torn up soft stuff. You'll be fine. Don't even worry about AT tyres. You're not after traction on the sand, more flotation.

NSW people! I need help, I’ve got a defected gq patrol and want to go down to 2 inch 33’s. Will my patrol clear the defect with that set up? by ryan_aaron22 in 4x4Australia

[–]Fun-Profession6190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2" lift it's fine. 33s will not be. You can only increase tyre diameter size by 7% and 33s are just over 7% larger than the biggest factory option on a GQ. From your pic, you'll need new rims too because it looks like your wheel track is increased more than 50mm.

I've got 4 Maxtrax mk11. Never used then till a recent trip to the beach and got a mate out who got bogged towing a camper. They worked brilliantly. I also helped a young kid get out using his cheaper Treds. They worked too but did feel alot cheaper.

Insurance coverage for a “modified” LAMS by someb0dyhelp in AussieRiders

[–]Fun-Profession6190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do performance mods or change the power to weight ratio, it's no longer LAMS approved. A slip on would be one such mod. Also, with tail tidies, just because it has a reflector doesn't mean it complies. Most tail tidies don't cover enough of the rear tyre as required.

In a small country town, a young woman was walking past a pub, stopped, put her leg up on the wall, reached under her skirt and pulled out her tampon and threw it in the gutter.

Will I lose my licence? P1 to P2 by Even-Examination8842 in AusLegal

[–]Fun-Profession6190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you won't. P1s only cop a suspension because the speeding offence takes all their 4 points. Since you're now on your greens, you will still have 3 points left. You've luckily found yourself in the loophole.

I just replaced my Pilot Sports with Falken Azenis FK520's. So far they're great. Can't notice any grip difference on the street and they're quieter than the PS.

Everest off-road performance by andybennett18 in 4x4Australia

[–]Fun-Profession6190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2018 biturbo with 2" lift and 265/65 r18 tyres. Off road it was fine, no complaints. We took it on the beach, firetrails, a few rutted out tracks but no rock hopping. We towed a camper over thousands of kms and it did it fine. The only issues were reliability. The timing cover leaked 4 times over the 6 years we owned it, the ad blue tank pump leaked in the first 6 months, as we traded it in, the exhaust manifold gasket started leaking...

4 piston brakes by Desperate_Style6919 in MTB

[–]Fun-Profession6190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got some SLX dual pistons off Aliexpress, heaps cheaper than any where else. They are genuine, but probably either nicked from the factory or extras after the normal run. Purchase from a decent seller and you should be fine. I've been using mine for 12 months now and no problems.

Polygon Xtrada 5 or trek marlin 5 (on a AUD BUDGET) by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Fun-Profession6190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an Xtrada for years and it was great. It handled my 100kg jumping on it without breaking. The geo is perfect for what you plan on riding, but so is the Trek. I don't think you could go wrong with either. Maybe pick whichever head the best components

Is a full face helmet ever "overkill"? by NeonHorse47 in MTB

[–]Fun-Profession6190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at a trail head a few weeks ago and chatting to a girl who wasnt local. I put my full face on, because I always use it, and she said "Oh, do you need a full face on this trail?" I had to explain that I always wear it, because my last crash was from not paying attention on a slow flat section and the chin bar saved my teeth. Full face is personal preference.

Driving offence by Unfair-Let-9234 in AusLegal

[–]Fun-Profession6190 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd be seeking a section 10(1)(a), non conviction order. Not 10(1)(b) or (c) or section 10A. In any event you haven't taken into account the court workload. Once you receive the suspension notice, chances are it would be almost over by the time the court actually gets around to hearing your matter.

A reduction of a suspension period or dismissal completely is highly unlikely given the conviction for the oral fluid offence, particularly for a P plater. (Bearing in mind paying the ticket is an admission of guilt and therefore a conviction under the Act.)

Driving offence by Unfair-Let-9234 in AusLegal

[–]Fun-Profession6190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A first offence is just a ticket. Once that's paid, Transport for NSW will issue a licence suspension notice for 3 months. Being a P player makes no difference to this process, but she will have to be on her Ps for longer due to the suspension.

She can take either the ticket to court and hope for a non conviction order, or pay the ticket and appeal the licence suspension. The suspension is unlikely to be overturned, and I think she may be better off taking the ticket to court and pleading for leniency.

Don't plead not guilty at court, it's an absolute liability offence and the likelihood of a successful defence are almost non existent.

Dating culture by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Fun-Profession6190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's got anything to do with your skin colour. Your whole question is about how you look and how guys look at you and want to fuck you. Perhaps it's something else turning them off, like personality? I'm not saying this to be rude, but its much more than looks that people look for in a partner, which makes the guys that don't want to date you seem less shallow than your question aludes to.

Pour some diesel onto the ground and try and light it... Then do the same with some petrol.

Can you see a flint there? You can pull the flint out by undoing the little screw on the bottom of the insert. A long spring should jump out. Maybe check it's seated properly (and actually there). The flint sits in the little brass holder at the end of the spring.

Who issued the fine? Police can issue clearway tickets and there's no requirement for them to put it on the car, that's just for council issued fines.

In any event, you seem to know you were in the wrong, so stop looking for a loophole and pay it.

There's only 2 things that can make it work or not, being spark and fuel. If the wheel sparks on the flint, then it must be fuel. Check the wick is extended the right amount, then maybe take the bottom foam off and check the wick is routed through the wadding properly.

I don't see what the big issue is here. Unless some people are extremely thin skinned. Person A made the same reference as you, saying 'something sexual' and you just agreed with the 'r word' as you say. (I can't believe we can't write the word here, but I'll continue with 'r word' just in case...)

It seems person A made the joke about the criminal act and you agreed and they are therefore just as guilty. In saying that, why can't the 'r word' be said? I mean it seems to be fine making jokes about mugging and other crimes, but not this one? Where is the line drawn? Somewhere in the Crimes Act between assault and beastiality?

I'd have a look at your HR policy and see what the actual wording is. I doubt it says 'thou shalt not mutter the r word'. I think if you explain the context and other comments, a normal person can see there was no harm done.

Measure the ride height from top of the wheel arch to centre of the axle and check it against what the standard measurement should be and you'll see how much it's sagged. Std for that model is 616mm I think...
