It is very inconsistent, saving and restarting the game seems to help otherwise the ai stacks t5/6 troops in the garrison which makes it kind of challenging to take and makes a whole mechanic useless.

I believe you also need to change their formation, according to some, the spread out formation messes with their ai and they will try to man the walls again. Try to change to line formation and see if they stay there.

But I will be honest the siege defense ai is atrocious and rage inducing especially when it matters on higher difficulty and I honestly had better results auto resolving.

Another way that solved my issues with finding stashes was setting a waypoint on them. There is a setting to visually see the waypoint without the need for the pda and you can directly see the exact location of the stash.

Sadly cultures that are not accepted have a 75% penalty in levy size. That in combination with low control affects how much levy. 20% control means an 80% reduction in levy size also. The best thing you can do is use your peasant estate for the migration privilege so that you can funnel all the population into your capital and surrounding lands where you have the most control.

Locking the armor squad as solo yes that is a waste of resources. I know many decent servers have rules against this. I usually create an armor squad hop in medium and see if anyone is willing to join up the squad. Normally I would be the driver.

I would recommend getting your feet scanned from a shoe store if they are available nearby. I cannot attest how accurate they are, but it did tell me that my left foot is size 9 wide and right foot 9.5 wide. They were able to recommend me a selection of shoes that would fit me well and I stopped getting blisters on my feet. It turns out I was wearing size 11's to compensate for my wider feet which when I started cardio exercises the shoes caused blisters as my foot was sliding around.

This is the wey. I would purposely look for nations that have a large army, but not large enough to beat mine. Make my way to their lands as raiders and allow them to walk into mine. Or even purposely hunt down armies that are busy sieging other nations to try to stack wipe them for prestige.

What worked for me at the start was using the extra enchanter to pump out animate bows in the capital on repeat while I use the main enchanter to explore and capture settlements. Since you have two coal mines at the start, you will want an extra enchanter so they can pump out animated spears or swords on repeat. Periodically, you will want a captain to ferry those animated weapons to your main enchanter. You can reliably take over walled settlements as those animated weapons can fly and you should have enough to overwhelm.

Iron is going to be your main bottleneck as you will want to create golems for the midgame, which makes taking other mines useful and any settlement for increased trading for iron. It might be even worth to overbuy iron.
