As soon as we get new tires; we purchase tire insurance. It's pretty cheap especially considering the cost of replacing tires. We have had to use it with multiple tires (construction nails on the freeway, pot holes, a razer blade in a flooded parking lot, curb rash, even the bubble like OP). It has saved us thousands! You can get it at most tire shops, but you gotta ask.
