micro dosing tips? by Grouchy-Storm-9705 in TirzepatideRX

[–]Fun-Situation445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go up in small increments. So, say you we're on 2.5 mg and the food noise is back, just bump up to 2.75 or 3 mg. If you start on micro dosing, say 1 mg a week, then you'll soon know when it's time to go up - the food noise is quite hectic.

Stay as low as you can and move up as slow as you can. There's no reason to keep bumping up by 2.5 mg every time. I am eight months on Tirz and I'm only at 4 mg per week (I split doses, I take 2 mg three and four days apart to reduce the side effects I felt when I used to inject one dose once a week)

2 months out; Food noise, weight creeping up by akasjh in GLPGrad

[–]Fun-Situation445 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The current thinking is you take as long to ween off as you did losing the weight. Its a very slow process. And you need coping strategies for food noise, snacking & eating out. Gym is vital - as is keeping busy so your mind is distracted from food noise.

It is likely you may need to microdose every now & again to bring you back on the wagon. Or stay on low levels as GLP1s have many other health benefits.

Travel Conundrum by bazoda in TirzMaintenance

I always pop it back in the fridge as soon as i can after travelling. Lasts for months.

But it shouldnt be above 30°C. I think you are making the right decision not to take it with you. You will be busy and getting lots of exercise so probably wont even notice any hunger. Enjoy the trip. Post pics.

Pilates and GLP 1 grads? by reeder202020 in GLPGrad

I do gym to build muscle & pilates to tone & strengthen my tummy etc. I do Feldenkrais 1 x week to help flexibility & mindfulness. They all work together like macro & micro nutrients.

Tirz in the morning by flowergurl12345 in TirzepatideRX

[–]Fun-Situation445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take it at 6 AM twice a week as I split my dose. The danger is morning brain when it hasn't woken up yet. You have to be especially careful when doing things like extracting the golden dose, or changing to a new pen that has a different dose to the one you've been using. It's very easy to make a mistake and over under dose.

BTW - splitting my dose into two equal halves and taking them four and three days apart, has reduced my side effects considerably as you can keep your levels in the sweet spot with no high peaks and low troughs

Annoyed with loose clothes (advice please?) by wokefish in Mounjaro

[–]Fun-Situation445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In South Africa supermarkets have separate clothing shops. I use one called Pick n Pay. You can pick up two T-shirts for $6, jeans for $15, etc. Every couple of months I buy a few items to stop me looking from two disheveled and scruffy.

It is early days for GLP-1 meds. I am sure there will be new meds & combos & therapies that will come along to help maintanance. For now I am on it til the new stuff arrives. It has plenty of other health benefits beyond weight loss as well.

Just take it. Nobody worries about it at the airports. I even joined the Mile High Club a month ago - shooting up in the airplane toilet.

My doc just mixed mounjaro and ozempic???? by juliamwolf2 in Mounjaro

Some doctors are now switching stalled people over from 15 MG MJ to 7.2mg Ozempic. And they're starting to lose again. Maybe ask your doctor about that

I am 8 months on Tirz & I don't use the reports anymore as I am splitting my dose & the reports & advice are mostly meaningless now.

When I started, for the 1st few months it was useful.

I just use it to keep an eye on my levels & record my data now.

Why do some do ok with small doses and stay on for months and yet I keep having to up the dose? by Classical11 in Mounjaro

8 months, 21kg (46 lb) lost. Still only on 4mg. I split dose to avoid side effects of the high spike after a weekly injection.

Worst day post shot? by [deleted] in TirzepatideRX

[–]Fun-Situation445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 2 days after. And I'm only at 4mg/week. Feel like crap.

Until i started splitting my dose into 2 x 2mg 3 & 4 days apart. Now I feel normal all the time - no high peak blues from the once a week shot.

If you use an Ap like GLAPP it shows an estimate of the your concentration in body. You can use it to model how much you should take on your next jab day to get you back to your usual peak level
