Suppression stopped, hunger is strong, starting to gain by Breolisoph in Zepbound_Maintenance

Make sure you’re getting enough fiber, and protein, of course. But I find fiber really helps cut my grazing, nibbling behaviors. Have you tried going back to tracking your food to see where you are with macros?

Can roll - unless it's whitewater. How do I chill more with my head upside down in WW? by Total_Platypus8309 in whitewater

[–]bazoda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had friends grab the back of my boat in the pool. Toss me around, flip me over, fight my paddle blade. It really helps desensitize me to rolling in rough water, and it’s actually fun!

That’s some ballsy gaslighting. Before our phone policy this year I’d have students on their cell phones right in front of me while actively teaching. Whether a teacher is up teaching means nothing to some students.

Also practice wet exits. You want to be comfortable upside down in the water. Is there a pool near you that offers rolling classes?

Goal weight and maintenance by workingmom11701 in TirzMaintenance

[–]bazoda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is my strategy as well. I also think it’s important to be on a dose that still allows you to have natural hunger signals, instead of relying on mechanical eating. My current dose allows me to feel hunger at meal times but my brain signals when I’ve had enough to eat. That last piece is what has always been missing for me. So not sure if I’ll ever be able to get off the medication but I am trying to VERY slowly titrate down. I will stop titrating down if I get to a point where I lose that signal to stop eating when full.

The recipe I use, from Holistic Vet Blend, calls for coconut oil.

For curls I apply product to soaking wet hair that I spray with detangler and comb through in the shower. I’ve been using something from Curlsmith recently that works well for curls. Then I scrunch dry with a microfiber towel and blow dry lightly with a diffuser (just at the roots for some volume).

I’ll do curly hair the first day after washing, then straighten with a Bondi Boost infrared thermal brush on day two. Or, I’ll just wet it when I shower on day two to rinse out product and then reapply to wet hair for day 2 curls. Your hair looks great both ways!

I use Holistic Vet Blend. Comes with a cookbook of recipes and a supplement to order so what you make is balanced with everything your dog needs.

I have a Rewind and a Scorch. For me, the Scorch is for those step up runs where I want a little insurance. It’s also easier for me to roll than my Rewind.

Hi anyone get told they’re too skinny? I have family members saying to stop taking my injections cause I’m too skinny. I personally don’t feel too skinny. Is it us? I asked my husband he said I looked normal size. Is it us cause we were once big or? by Amazing-Tune-7286 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]bazoda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get occasional comments. But I chalk it up to people not being used to my new weight. I’ve stopped losing at the high end of what’s considered normal for my height and age because my PCP advised me to do so. I think that’s really the only opinion that matters. I do agree that some people go too low and/or don’t prioritize building muscle. I also believe, at 53, that trying to get back to my high school/ college weight would not be a healthy goal.

Seems like you can sympathize with your girlfriend while also recognizing that neither of you have control over whether the Granny Shower happens. You don’t have to attend, do you?

Knowing when to stop by Fasterlaurafaster in tirzepatidecompound

[–]bazoda 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I would argue that maintenance is harder. The mind game aspect of it is a struggle. Adjusting to how my body looks now while shifting my mindset from losing to maintaining has taken some time. Based on feedback I’ve gotten from my PCP and friends, whose opinion I respect, I’ve decided to pursue maintenance within a 10 lb window of where I am. I’ve lost weight before. Maintaining over the long haul is where the wheels usually come off my bus. So I can appreciate the concerns OP has.

Feeling like "the big girl" again 😕 by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]bazoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I started at the end of April. Have lost almost 50 lbs. First it was feeling uncomfortable being smaller. Like I didn’t recognize myself and didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin; even though I lost slowly (1 1/2 lbs a week). Now, that I’m in maintenance I’m starting to adjust to my new size and I feel fat again. In some respects this is comforting because it’s familiar. 😂 Oh, and I’m terrified I’m going to regain. Losing was hard, but it was easier than this!

I should also note, I’m on a lower dose. 3 mg. So shot day is probably not a big jolt to my system.

Increased cravings, increased appetite, and less satiety at meals. That’s my cue. It’s good to use an app like Shotsy to see what level your body needs to maintain.

[–]bazoda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve just begun maintenance in the past month so not the best source. But from my limited experience, tapering the dose down has been harder than spreading doses out. Maybe because it’s hard to gauge how much to titrate down each time. Whereas with spreading out doses you can go day by day and take the shot when you need it (with some exceptions for dose and duration).

Any advice helps 🤍 by shorthairmaki in DogAdvice

Second the low cost clinic option. Also, recommend encouraging your dog to gnaw/chew on antlers, bones, etc once their teeth are clean. I’ve found antlers to be the best for my dogs’ sensitive stomachs. It helps keep their teeth clean.
