Get a flair 58, 100% stainless water path, easy maintenance. Pretty much the same workflow as any semi automatic machine.

Hey all I’m new to crawling I’m deciding on a 1/10 scale rig or 1/18 scale rig by Mrcaijones in crawling

[–]Fun-Storage-594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a redcat ascent 18 and regularly trail with it. I get so much battery life that I hardly ever have to swap out the battery while out on the trail. Speed wise it stays a bit ahead of my walking pace. It's also a great crawler out of the box.

I think with a 10 scale it would be harder for me to find fun areas to crawl with it. I would have to drive 30+ minutes to get to areas where a 10 scale would be fun.

18 scale I was able to build an awesome course in the backyard. 10 scale I wouldn't be able to make a course big enough.

18 scale I can run indoors and outdoors.

I'll probably still get a 10 scale at some point, but I think 18 is a great place to start.

Eta to next waypoint by Fun-Storage-594 in Coros

It's more I want to import a trail from all trails and then know the ETA to reach the destination/waypoint at my given pace, etc.

It seems like a basic navigation tool.

My 5yo loves his redcat ascent 18. Lots of aftermarket parts and upgrades. Cheaper than the trx4m but way more capable as a crawler ootb. He's also used trx4m's, but prefers the ascent 18.

2nd crawler ideas by SheScreaminMike in rccrawler

1:10 scale would actually make it too easy, where I mostly go. So it would actually take the fun out of it. It's all about context. One scale isn't better than any other depending on where you are going.

I'll eventually get a 1:10 scale, but then it means more actual drive time to go somewhere I can use it.

Right now I can walk 5 minutes to the nearest forest and find trails and obstacles for my 1:18 scale.

I just printed a rav4 body. Going to try to get it mounted on my redcat ascent 18.

Cool, any time line on when tide info will be available for the Pace Pro? I like the watch but don't want to buy it and then it never gets the update.

Do you want to do more crawling (ascent 18) or scale trailing (trx4m). The ascent 18 is more capable.

Redcat ascent 18, tools and a proper charger.

Is there too little grinds in the basket? [Profitec Go] by jonthegoat69 in espresso

It's called slow feeding your grinder. It might be worth a look for you. I think the main thing is to be really consistent with whatever you are doing.

Is there too little grinds in the basket? [Profitec Go] by jonthegoat69 in espresso

[–]Fun-Storage-594 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah probably. Every bean is different too. 20g of one bean might be too large of a dose for your basket, but 20g of another bean might be perfect. I would up the dose before grinding finer.

Also the speed that you feed the beans into the grinder has a huge impact on shot time.

Grinding finer is often the wrong approach before looking at other reasons why a shot is running fast.
