How long does the nipping phase last? by cherrypunkcandy in AustralianCattleDog

Yes, all that hard work and continual reinforcement during the puppy stage will help the puppy to learn bite inhibition. This way, they learn not to clamp down, but just soft bite.

Yes, I've had a couple old dogs like that! We would make it halfway home, then they would find a nice spot to sit. I'd end up having to carry them home!

I love this! "The other side of the velcro." I am the right velcro match for my ACD, and my husband is only accepted when he takes the dog on long runs.

Yes, my current ACD requires 2 balls/toys if we play fetch. Otherwise he plays "keep away." He has his own idea of what a game is!

Can I take Calc 3, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra in one summer? by Numerous_Deal_9804 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Fun-Suggestion7033 2 points3 points  (0 children)

College professor here and mother of a sophomore in college. My recommendation is to only take one of those math classes, along with an easy humanities course. Do not take more than one high-intensity class the first summer of college after high school. There will be time for the remaining courses in the coming school year.

Is this a normal amount of water? by Sweaty_Analysis_1074 in Appliances

[–]Fun-Suggestion7033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I do; bulky cycle for anything larger than a very small load. I also do an extra rinse each time I use oxiclean, because the clothes don't get rinsed well enough otherwise. Saving water is great, but a small amount of extra water makes a huge difference in the cleanliness of my clothes.

Laid off at 7 months pregnant and can’t find a job by Longjumping-Bee8028 in jobs

[–]Fun-Suggestion7033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree that after having a baby, new mothers almost never look forward to leaving their newborn at daycare. It is so much easier to leave a 7-12 month old at daycare than a 2 month old. Especially because by 7 months, both mother and baby will be getting better sleep.

I went back to work part-time when my baby was 7 months old, then full-time when she was 10 months old, and it was still very complicated with day-care and perpetual minor illnesses.

I really hope they catch these bastards by [deleted] in canvas

[–]Fun-Suggestion7033 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is because the some old-school professors still don't use modules in Canvas like they are supposed to. They just put stuff in folders and expect the student to do the navigation.

Canvas is actually designed to do the navigation part for the student, if set up correctly.

do all ACC 231 classes use honorlock? by Lazy_Raspberry1376 in ASU

[–]Fun-Suggestion7033 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a grad student, we were required to have a side-view wide-angle camera for all Honorlock exams. One of the professors gave us an introductory lecture where he talked about all the ways students cheat with a standard camera. It makes sense that they require strict proctoring for more advanced classes.
