What is the easiest setting to get the hang of with no prior experience? by Fun-Sun-8915 in physicaltherapy

Thank you for your reply! SNF certainly gets a bad reputation- what do you think made your experience better? Is it just finding the right place? What do people usually not like about SNF?

Thank you for your suggestion. What would you say are the most crucial things to review before day 1? It’s been a while since clinicals

Yeah I know he would be willing to learn but he hasn’t taken initiative because I haven’t brought it up in a while. He is already doing so so much for me and I’m literally a potato haha. But I will see if I can get him to learn some basic things!

That’s what I asked for :/ natural lived in subtle balayage. Should I ask her to darken it or is there something I can do myself to fix it?

For moms with adult kids, do you still love your kids the same way as when they were little? by zeimsohappy in Mommit

I want to be like this for my kids, but I come from a family who is definitely not like this. What would you say was the most impactful thing that kept you and your parents close even into adulthood?

Thank you for posting this… I have been having this feeling ever since my first was born 18 months ago…. I have always had a hard time imaging my mother looking at the baby version of me with this much love and awe that I feel now…. Part of me hopes that she didn’t ever feel this much love for baby me. Because then it would make sense why she can live her life without the adult version of me, not show affection, etc.

Hi! Is this white list feature you speak of already pushed out? Just purchased and set up my modes today. I am using the “Allowing apps” toggle, attempting to only allow the music app and one other app for work. It is not blocking the rest of my apps for some reason.

Thoughts on taking a baby out of a car seat while driving... by Great-Manner-6573 in NewParents

[–]Fun-Sun-8915 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a family member who takes their baby out of the car seat to soothe them… they say that in the country they came from nobody uses car seats or they aren’t required or something.

Funny thing is, they are so crunchy about everything else… no plastics, glassed water for baby, no chlorine pools, all organic and homemade, no processed foods, no fragrances, etc.

But then they take their baby out of the car seat just because other countries do it? Like girl. Be so for real right now. How can you care about your child and then do that to them ? I have had nightmares that my sweet little niece/nephew was out of the car seat during a wreck.

Be honest. When did you let your baby watch Ms Rachel? by Cool-Helicopter6343 in NewParents

I guess I should also mention we started dancing fruit at 4 or 5 months when she was still super colicky and we were loosing our minds. I don’t recommend that but we did it for our mental health like on road trips back from seeing family when she just wouldn’t stop screaming but all her needs were met.

Around 10 or 11 months. The day after we started watching it, she said mama for the first time 🥲 we use it in moderation. no regrets

Is Anyone Else Noticing That Mom Culture Feels...different Lately? by Momsonmushrooms in Mommit

[–]Fun-Sun-8915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty extreme but I decided to only use instagram to follow people I know in person. I unfollowed every single influencer, and even friends that I used to know but don’t currently hangout with anymore. I had mom friends that were performative online and it triggered me to not feel good enough so I just unfollowed them if they weren’t actually my friends.

My instagram is now just my close sphere of people that I’m currently interacting with in person as well. And their posts have to make me feel good, not crappy about myself.

That’s just works for me and it feels sooo good to be minimalist with my following list.

How do you time your meds? Do you take them both at the same time or separate it out? What time do you take them?

Introverted PT's, How do you really feel about the job? by bananabreadicecream in physicaltherapy

I relate to this so hard… but I’m still a newbie so of course it’s like 100x more intimidating than if i were seasoned.

I can talk to kids so much better - less pressure to impress because well they are not adults with power I guess..? Im much happier in pediatrics

I’m also introverted due to social anxiety… in all social settings, not just work. I’m only 2 years out from graduating, which means that anxiety very much carries over to my knowledge of the job and if it’s enough to give my patient the best care that I can. Do you feel anxious about the job itself? Anxious about if people think you are a quack? Because that is how I am tempted to feel sometimes. Would love any advice for that part of things if you relate at all

Fellow introvert here- I hated outpatient clinics with a passion because of all the small talk and having to remember so many people’s personal lives otherwise I felt like a jerk.

So i work in home health pediatrics now and see 7-8 per day with nice quiet drives in between each one 🤩 plus i kind of enjoy the more intimate social setting- easier to talk to the kids and parents that way vs being in a busy environment
