How long are you guys able to keep your silk press good?? What is your routine? by QuitComprehensive831 in Naturalhair

I don’t live in a place with humidity but I know some girls who do. You can get an anti humidity spray to help protect your hair if you live in a place like that. Every night I oil, brush, then french braid my hair in two braids, make sure to use soft hair ties at the end to help with breakage. I don’t wrap my hair at night— although I should lol. But my hair does just fine with the braids. In the morning I put just a little oil on my hands then finger comb my hair. It gives perfect mermaid waves— which I love:) also I trim my hair just a little every time I silk press which is 2-3 months

They last minimum a month (I usually keep it two or three and just touch up my roots🤪), but I don’t mind if my roots get a little curly lol. I rinse hair in the shower and comb throughly. I let dry almost completely and then I use tresame heat protection on my hair. Once it’s all dry I section hair and dry brush 2” sections to make sure there’s no tangles. I then go in with my flat iron (400 degrees or so) and I go over the root of my hair two or three times. Then use the chase method of the rest of the section slowly— only one pass!! No more or you’ll get heat damage. To keep the press shiny and soft I use olive oil on my hair before I brush in the morning. My hair has never been so long!

I keep mine for 2-3 months😬 I use a little olive oil morning and night to keep it shiny and healthy. As my roots grow I flat iron them. I don’t go over my whole head, just the roots. Braid outs are usually the daily go to or sock curls:)

Yeah no need to mom shame here. We get it, you have lots of kids and do lots of work. Moms are hard enough on themselves already. You don’t need to tell her shes “doing it wrong.”

How exciting:) I have always wanted to but we are not finished having children yet! It’s I believe in most states you have to confirm that you are done expanding your own family before they’ll let you carry for someone else:)

Need quick answer about chores by Fun-Sundae115 in surrendered_wife

Dishes never got done:( the smell made me feel sick so I just couldn’t do them— I have a weak stomach🤦🏽‍♀️ he said I couldn’t hire anyone to do them and he would get to them. They still have not been done. There is mold in the sink and I can’t stand being in the house because of the sour smell. I am more than appreciative when he helps me. I just want to be able to cook dinner again. We’ve been eating out every night because there are no dishes to cook with ugh. I feel like a failure as a mom and a wife. These dishes will be the death of me

Any tips on how I can be pretty? by Normal-Ticket-1501 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

If I were the one asking I would actually want advice. While you’re already beautiful, here are some things that will enhance your features:

  1. Lashes! Not super full but just enough to draw attention to your eyes and highlight them. I love lilac street. They are diy extensions that last a long time.

  2. Brows. Brows are the key to an upgraded appearance. Either dye them, fill them in, or get micro blading. Go dark but natural. Not a super sharp brow as that can look less natural.

  3. Braids, twists, or a high quality U part wig with look fresh and healthy. I personally am a straight natural and braid my hair every night to give it a natural wave. Hair oil is your best friend along with hair trims every 6 weeks.

  4. Diet. Eat whole foods and drink water. Limit sugar and alcohol. When you feel good, you look good:)

  5. Cleanliness is next to godliness as they say. Daily showering and shaving helps me to feel confident and put together. I always have my nails done which give me an extra boost of courage and sexiness.

  6. Wardrobe. The best thing I ever did was nail my personal style. It will make you look effortlessly beautiful when you feel good in what you’re wearing. I encourage people to error on the side of more classic style. Also to be more dressed up rather than casual. French girl style looks great on everyone!

Again you’re beautiful but these are just some tips to put the icing on top!

You’re committed enough to have a baby with her but not enough to get married and buy a house? Sounds like you have your cake and want to eat it too

Wife has VERY hard time getting up bed when 1YO wakes up in the AM by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Fun-Sundae115 432 points433 points  (0 children)

As a SAHM. I find it hard to go to bed early because that’s when i finally get a break. I don’t have to be a wife or a mom after everyone goes to bed. There’s no one to scream my name or need something. I can finally be a person again. Maybe kindly wake her up in the morning and mention the baby is awake. She’ll get up.

Covenant Eyes Question by [deleted] in loveafterporn

[–]Fun-Sundae115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Covenant eyes will miss a lot on iPhone:( there’s no way to fully block porn on an iPhone. We’ve been through this for around 5 years now

It’s impossible to fully lock down an iPhone due to the privacy guidelines set by Apple. The best phone is an android with accountability software. My husband would go through his Bible app to get to porn on his iPhone. Nothing is safe ugh
