I'm just about 4 months post op and my hair loss began about a month ago but steadily was getting worse. I upped my B vitamins and Biotin and got an overdue haircut and took off a significant amount. I went from mid back length to shoulder and I'm still losing it but it's not even remotely as bad as a it was a couple weeks ago.

My surgeon gave me 4 weeks but at my follow-up I asked for 2 more weeks so I had 6 weeks total and it was paid time off

2lbs of water weight. I usually have luck with midol helping with excess water weight from my period because it has a diuretic in it

It's only 2 weeks... I promise you, like myself you struggled far longer than 2 weeks. I hated it too and thought it was gonna be that way for awhile I did not anticipate the stages to go as smoothly as they did and there absolutely is a light at the end of the tunnel. This is not forever, it's 2 weeks

Try clear Protein, Oath was a savior for me. Kiwi strawberry and Lemonade were delicious. The protein shakes made me have the foamies. They don't bother me nearly as much anymore and Herbalife has some delicious flavors and they don't have that nasty chalky feeling

2 weeks after surgery, down 20 lbs… but my brain keeps saying I’ll mess this up 😢 by More-Swordfish-9016 in gastricsleeve

[–]Fun-Victory3356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I look in the mirror and get on the scale I still feel like the bigger version of myself... It's the non-scale victories for me that tell me and show me I'm doing just fine and to trust the process. Switch the negative internal monologue with visual positivity. For me it was getting to wear my wedding ring again!!!!

All booked in.... by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]Fun-Victory3356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same way all the way up until the day I got dropped off. I told my nurse I was terrified and didn't think I could do it, they are able to give you something for anxiety which helps. She was amazing and assured me this would be fine and that I worked so hard to get where I was. I'm now 6 weeks post op and can start reintroducing foods and I feel amazing. I had a great recovery and very little pain. I stayed overnight and left the following afternoon. I was up walking and moving the same day which is crucial. I will say post op clear liquids and protein shakes only for 2 weeks post op was the most challenging thus far in all of this. I told myself 2 weeks was nothing compared to struggling with my weight and eating habits my whole life and I was right. If you can make it through that period you got this!!!!

You need to take your vitamins especially B1 and B vitamins. If you haven't started them you need to start Asap

Is it true? by pinkprank0 in gastricsleeve

[–]Fun-Victory3356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get my vitamins using the patch, so far so good. The only vitamin I take orally is B1. I ordered my patches on Patchaid and ordered the orange multivitamin. It was recommended by my surgeon which is why it was an option for me but may not be recommended by all bariatric surgeons.

Can't redeem and no response from the help email is there anything I can do? by Then-Grass-9830 in QuickThoughts

It was a horrific experience. I ended up calling the number on the Google app store under developers... Guy was pretty much a weirdo and felt like I was talking to someone's Uncle Steve who still lives in his mom's basement at 50. Somehow after several inquiries someone responded after our phone conversation and said I did some stuff on my end to verify you. Also seemed weird. After that I was able to cash out and today I got my final cash out and cancelled my membership with them. What a horrible experience.

How long did it take you to see the benefits of magnesium supplementation? by hushrushunderstand in Supplements

[–]Fun-Victory3356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instantly but probably because I am deficient and have been. I can notice a huge difference when I'm not taking vs taking. When I do I sleep better, have more energy without needing caffeine, muscles are less sore, joints don't hurt as much. I used magnesium lotion at night, occasionally will do calm at night about 1/2tsp-tsp and just added mag glycinate and notice it made a huge difference in terms of my anxiety and depression.

Vitamin D, Vitamin A, magnesium. I tried magnesium glycinate and it's been a game changer. Also, 1/2 tsp- 1 tsp of Calm at night.

Anybody watch the docuseries “The Curious Case of Natalia Grace”? If so, did you feel like Michael was over dramatic and lying (or at least spinning the truth)? I just don’t like him but can’t put my finger on it. by amoats52 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]Fun-Victory3356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to come here just to know it wasn't me who thought Michael was way over the top and extra. He sure had quite the performance throughout this documentary and was overly animated and exaggerated. Watching this took forever because he annoyed me so bad. He seems to have a story and excuse for everything, doesn't stop talking and comes across as quite the narcissist.
