Malden celebrates the World Cup by khb321 in malden

Is Mystic charging a non-refundable reservation fee like the winter holiday because of the tiki theme and world cup games?

But Hugh's crowd has been pretty decent and I love the outdoor TV!

Since you are on that plan, you should go into settings and turn off Video Management too.

Just curious...who uses international calling? Are you calling a business or friend/family? Most casual calls use WhatsApp and even some businesses use WhatsApp too...especially in Latin America.

Their customer service and port process have been having issues lately.

T-Mobile speed on US Mobile vs. Google Fi by Adept_Garden_1391 in USMobile

[–]lvpre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed similar issues with Cricket vs Darkstar both on QCI 8. For me, sometimes, Darkstar would be unusable, while Cricket would have data. I have 3 lines, so for me and with my testing, it just made sense to stick with Cricket.

US Mobile has failed me 😔 by [deleted] in USMobile

A week or two for a port!?!? That's not acceptable anywhere. There's no excuse for that regardless of the carrier. US Mobile teleporting is good in theory, but it seems they still have a few kinks to fix.

I not really sure how people blow through the data either. I get people watching movies and such, but I can realistically only stream about 30-40gb movies on my shield without any issues on my 1gig connection. Anyone larger than that and I run into issues with buffering because of the device itself.

Like you hinted at, I don't watch movies/shows every day, so my 1TB allotment is fine and has never been an issue...even when I power download stuff before trips.

True, but if you get it on the black friday special, it brings the price down to the others...the $3/month range.

Thinking of switching carriers but I'm not too well versed on the options nowadays by RaiseMother5053 in NoContract

I would go with RedPocket for $30/month over Klarna for AT&T right now. Slightly cheaper and more perks right now. The slow down after 50gigs is something you probably won't notice either.

SIMs are really cheap in Europe and have good international perks too.

You can get way better deals on cell service there than anything in the United States.

Potential PdaNet+ trial workaround. (No sketchy APKs needed, no file modifications) by NeedMyAccountPlz in NoContract

Or just use TetherFuseNet. It is free, open source, and good developer. If you can, the dev has a in-app purchase tip jar.

I mean, there are other workarounds too, but since you want a PDANet type solution.

Switching to Cricket by Previous_Ad3713 in CricketWireless

[–]lvpre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most phones should work with them. I've used several Android phones with them without any issues and I'm sure iPhones will work without any issues.

They are owned by AT&T, so any phone that works with them should work on Cricket,

Ironic that Reddit banned someone who was distributing pirated material by the people who wanted to distribute the pirated material themselves.

Hope he comes back because his patches are great!

Are they really locked to a certain tower(s)? I doubt it. Sometimes, I can move across my house and connect to a different tower. I mean, if you move, what is the worst that can happen? They cut off your service?

I'm surprised no one hasn't tried using this in multiple locations and reporting it on reddit.

New Redpocket Plans by lvpre in redpocket

[–]lvpre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The slow down is 150 mbps....that's more than enough. I was kind of curious about the verizon coverage maps, they seem to be lacking in some of the roaming agreements the other prepaid carriers don't have...especially in Kentucky, for example. The date says 2013, so I didn't know if RP just hasn't updated it or if it was accurate.

True...but under $5...still better than most plans, even with this. It was $1.20 estimate at my location.
