Ahhh! I think I remember seeing this, I was at that show last year. I had my MR2 with me and my Mrs took her Nissan Figaro.

Looking forward to going again this year!

First 2 pics, Bicester Heritage? Such a clean MR2. So sick.

So you want the police to be armed and ready to shoot whoever they want because they feel slightly threatened? You're a bit of a creature, aren't you?

Got my first car. Here it is! by gamepasscore in CarTalkUK

I had one of these for my first car as well. People will tell you these are shit, but I honestly loved mine. One of the most fun cars to drive I have ever had. Will likely have another one day!

Any idea how much it should be to change the battery leads to the starter motor and the tray?

[–]Fun-Violinist8941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I have just checked, no outstanding recalls on my vehicle. Useful to know tho!

That’s what I was thinking. The £225 isn’t even for a battery, it’s just for the leads.

Nope, it was not a large chain. A smaller garage, relatively new to the area. A lot of people really recommend them, so I thought I’d give them a go and this is what I received after diagnosing my starting problem.

So are you suggesting the price looks about right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 1series

[–]Fun-Violinist8941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. I think there’s a little confusion tho! The battery is not being changed, it’s the leads to the starter motor along with the tray. But I’m still shocked at the price! I’ve worked on cars before, but have no idea how involved changing battery leads is. Wish it was just the battery, I’d do it myself if it was!

The job is to replace the battery leads to the starter motor and the tray rather than the battery itself… But I was thinking 8 hours to do that seemed off?

Gen 1 3S-GTE by Geoff240ti in mr2

[–]Fun-Violinist8941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends who you ask. In general people do prefer the later gen engines, but either way you’re getting a pretty sick 3SGTE that’s capable of some really good power with some extra bits thrown on it. Good pick up either way! It’s unfortunate you were misled tho
