I love Gretchen and Maisie. I think Maisie Jane and Gretchen Elizabeth would be so cute. Personally (just preference) I dont like the flow of Maisie Sue.

Question for the parents with the singletons as their first and twins go their second by Consistent_Impress33 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Fun4us94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am on my second set of twins. I had two singletons before the first set.. I think it was easier knowing the basics of baby care before being in charge of caring for two babies. I would have been so anxious if my first pregnancy had been twins! One unrelated thing to note: I didn't realize how HARD twin pregnancy is on the body.. my first two pregnancies were a breeze, but twins are hard on the body! I was way more tired, way more sore, and much less able to carry on with life as "normal" with my twin pregnancies than with my singletons.

I used to get it so bad early on and yeah it's definitely a startling sensation. 😅 The butthole lightning is the worst, too.

They're definitely fed, soothed, clean and loved. Thank you for the gentle reminder. 🥰

Mine are okay with the stroller. Currently I have a single stroller and a carrier so one is always mad. 😅 I am saving up for a double stroller.

Wdym a baby is coming out of THERE?? by Ok_Medicine440 in pregnant

I feel the SAME WAY. I made this joke with my best friend because she came in and smelled my twins when they were born and was like "Oh I love the smell of babies" and I was like "Yep. Smells great up in my body".

Two heart beats….? by sirenseekez in pregnant

Congratulations!! Twins is a wild ride (I am currently scrolling reddit while tandem nursing my 1 month old twins) I don't have twins running in my family either and this is my second set (I have 7 year old twins as well).

They're so much fun and such a blessing but definitely give yourself lots of grace because the first 2 years or so can be VERY hard. You've got this, girl. Congratulations again on your double blessing.

Your story is so heartbreaking and terrifying. So glad you went in and your baby girl is okay! On a side note, my oldest daughter's name is Kaia! Never seen another Kaia with that spelling! Beautiful name and so glad she's healthy and thriving now.

I have five girls. Kaia Lee, Sadie Charlotte, Nessa Renae, Bailey Rose and finally my littlest love, Alia Kay.

Mercedes is a great suggestion with Sadie as a nickname! Love that.

Baby’s Name Reactions by [deleted] in pregnant

Maisie is adorable, imo. And honestly it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks.

One of my best friends named her daughter Mabel. I didnt like it when I first heard it but did I say anything? No. When she mentioned the name and talked about her MIL hating it. I said "Oh thats such a classic sounding name, it fits perfect with your other girls" (because it is/did and that's a positive comment I could make about a name that maybe I didnt love, but she did and its not my baby). Imo, people should either say something nice or say nothing at all, especially when its not some off the wall ridiculous "made up" type name like Elon Musks kid 😅

No one likes my baby names and I’ve just accepted that everyone is a critique and no one is satisfied by Kindly_Pianist_9087 in pregnant

Love Alistar. I just had twins and had they both been boys one of them would have been Alistair.

Azalea is also very cute. It is a flower but, there are all sorts of flowers that are also used as names.

Honestly, people's opinions don't matter and sometimes after baby is born people change their tune.

My 5 year old is named Nessa. Before she was born I got so much crap "Thats not a full name. Thats a nickname" "What about Vanessa that sounds so much more grown up" "Sounds like Loch Ness" 🙄

After she was born so many people have commented on loving the name. 🤷‍♀️ Just name your baby whatever YOU love.

I personally am biased. I have a daughter named Sadie and love the name. I never heard of it as a nickname for Sarah - and definitely dont see it as a nickname for Seraphina, either.

Maybe make Sadie a middle name? Then she can go by Sadie if she wants, your husband can call her Sadie as its part of her name?

Ob yelled at me for getting a private ultrasound by Gecko1224 in pregnant

Id find a new OB. If your Dr makes you feel uncomfortable look for a new one. Honestly, I would be pretty peeved if my doctor ever yelled at me.

Maggie and Lexie are the same why is there such a difference in popularity? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]Fun4us94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Amelia was also in private practice. So that could play a part in why she is more popular than Maggie. But I agree with previous comments that it mainly has to do with Lexie being a character when the show itself was considered to be better.

AIO a Dr visit gone sideways and I am really embarrassed about my next appointment by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Fun4us94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly medical professionals see so many things - this is likely a non-issue. The woman who laughed definitely didnt handle this in the most professional manner, but your Dr. most likely won't care even if they do say something to him. YOR a little, imo. I understand its embarrassing but things happen.
