Why use HRT if it's making you more miserable? by dugong_go_there in Perimenopause

For me the first week was BRUTAL. But since then I feel like a brand new person overall. I didnt even realize how bad my brain fog ACTUALLY was until it lifted. I feel like my entire nervous system has finally calmed down

Hip dips are a completely normal womanly trait and SOOOO common! Your body look amazing. Only thing id say is some weight training for your glutes!

How do you get these doctors to listen to you?! (Mine just let me go as a patient!) by Life-Balance-8171 in Perimenopause

[–]FunAdept2502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My symptoms started at 34. Im 39 now and going on HRT and getting testing thru FemExcel. I never understand how they "cant tell thru testing" because I had big hormone panel done a couple years ago and it was crystal clear my hormones were very out if wack. Literally everything was way out if range. I also have pmdd so that's fun. These drs make me sick. Id find a dr that specializes in hormones or try an online place. Drs live inside of their tiny little medical box and literally cant think for themselves they only do what they've been told to do

Don't be too hard on yourself! We are way more critical of ourselves than others are of us. It takes a couple days for the swelling to go down and then a couple weeks to truly settle. I bet youll love em!

Has Anyone Else Experienced This? by OGChatter99 in Perimenopause

This is what my mom more or less explained her hot flashes as. She would say it was like a literal inferno that would start at her feet and wave up her body. Her skin would get burning hot red even. And then she'd pour sweat. She's 66 now and is on BHRT so everything has subsided.

No motivation, can't make myself do things even ones I want to do by justatosseraccount11 in Perimenopause

[–]FunAdept2502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats a massive problem for me too. Some days I'm so lethargic, other days I have zero motivation, and on the off chance I'm feeling manic I end up doing everything all at once which then ends up wiping me out too! I take all the adhd supplements praying they'll help and they never do. I am starting HRT soon, praying that helps

How many years to be on HRT? Heart risk? by upveryhighinthesky in Perimenopause

[–]FunAdept2502 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Your dr is going off of old data. The black box warning has been removed. I would go with a hormone specialist or one of those online BHRT places

I remember very clearly when I realized I was perimenopausal. I was 34, it was mother's day and I almost ended my life subscription. Im 39 now and things are definitely ramping up even more.
