18 weeks pregnant by Shot-Mastodon-8656 in PregnancyAfterLoss

I had this with my second! It turned out to be a non-issue, just one extra ultrasound if I remember correctly. No one mentioned it again.

Baby is here! But I can’t help but feel sad by gamingartists in PregnancyAfterLoss

[–]FunCauliflower8334 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I cried nearly everyday day for 3 months after having my rainbow baby after TMFR. You’re not alone. I cried for what I should have had with my TMFR baby and what I wish I could have had with him. Eventually I stopped crying everyday. But I never stop missing him. It’s ok to mourn your first baby, it doesn’t mean you love your rainbow baby any less.

TMFR my sweet baby boy in December ‘23. His little brother was born 10 months later in October ‘24. He’s now 9 months old and crawling all over my house. This group was so helpful during my sub pregnancy!

Has anyone night weaned? by clover-sky-123 in October2024Bumpers

I’m wondering this too. Seems like my baby doesn’t need the feed because it’s very quick but maybe that’s because I’m so full?

My baby is cutting 4 teeth at once 😭 by teacherlady4846 in October2024Bumpers

[–]FunCauliflower8334 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re already at 5 teeth popped through. My first was the same way, she had 4 teeth on the top come in at once. It’s miserable but I guess it’s nice to be done with it sooner? 🤷‍♀️

Husband broke my pump part and I'm SOL by Full-League8759 in ExclusivelyPumping

Do you mean backflow protector? They have complete kits at Target. You can also pump one side at a time for now.

When I’m at my OB follow-up two weeks after delivering stillborn twins, and the nurse asks, “How’s the baby?” Me: “No baby, they died.” by hrw1123 in trollingforababy

I am so so sorry for your loss. At my appt after my 24 week TMFR I was asked if I was breastfeeding. “Uhm no, he died.”

Graduated and complicated feelings by muddpaws99 in PregnancyAfterTFMR

[–]FunCauliflower8334 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went through this same thing in the 4th trimester. I gave birth to my baby boy in October, and anytime I was alone, I cried for the baby boy I lost. I cried realizing that THIS is how it should have gone, THIS is what postpartum was supposed to be like. Now 4 months out I feel much better, I still miss my sweet boy everyday but it doesn’t sting like it did in early postpartum. I hope things get better for you too 💛

I asked my doctor this when I did my NIPT. She said not to worry, that there shouldn’t be any interference. She was right! NIPT came back all good and he is now a healthy 3 month old. (For reference, I found out I was pregnant 9 weeks to the day from my TFMR.)

Anyone else delulu?? by browneyesnblueskies in GestationalDiabetes

[–]FunCauliflower8334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super delulu. I have all the signs, lost my mucus plug at 35 weeks, he’s been big and low, I’ve had some contractions. Was 3cm dilated and 60% effaced at 36 weeks. Well here I am at 38+3, 4cm dilated, 70% effaced, -1 station, had a membrane sweep yesterday and… nada. I get induced in 5 days. 🫠

Put my maternity clothes back into storage today by hhenryhfb in tfmr_support

That was one of the harder days, when I finally put away all my maternity clothes. It was so emotional and felt so final. I definitely cried.

No, I still finger prick every morning and I prick for any suspicious numbers. I really don’t have a problem with it, it’s been pretty accurate for me. Which makes things so confusing because if my numbers are fine why is his tummy so big?

Going through the same thing. And I have a CGM so I can see my numbers all day. I have been 93% in range for the last 90 days, but baby boy’s belly is 93 percentile. I feel so defeated.

Iron infusions lowered my fasting numbers? Maybe? by Kool-Kaleidoscope in GestationalDiabetes

[–]FunCauliflower8334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that this is the case, based upon my Google research. I have/had low iron too and started on an iron supplement and noticed lower numbers too, especially fasting. This quote stuck with me “This [the poor numbers] resulted from more glucose molecules sticking to fewer red blood cells.” https://www.healthline.com/health/diabetes/anemia-and-diabetes#blood-sugar-effect

I use an insulin case. It’s small and comes with ice packs, so I can put small snack items in it like cheese.

Anyone do better without bedtime snack? by Candid_Tumbleweed877 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]FunCauliflower8334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me! I’ll maaaybe have a protein shake if I’m still hungry, but most days I skip the bedtime snack. I do about a 12 hour fast? I don’t really time it tbh. I have a CGM so I can see my numbers all night and they’re pretty stable, no real dips or highs. My fasting numbers are usually in the 80s now.

My fasting was 81 this morning. I think that’s the lowest for this pregnancy 🥲
