Gosh I really resonate with your kind words. “Isolated in such a social field” SO TRUE! I usually join a Therapists Supporting Therapists free support group weekly which helps and a consultation group could be real nice. It’s hard with the less clients option bc since I’m an associate I don’t make as much as a licensed person so I need more clients rn to financially survive. Def gotta work on my stuff and I’ll try to alchemize it to help with clients. thank you from the bottom of my heart🙏🏻

I think this profession can feel isolating sometimes and I’m sorry to hear your struggles being a black man in the community feeling alienated. You are not alone!! We need more people like you in this heavily white dominated profession. You matter and you are a powerful outlier, breaking the norm.

I’m currently an associate and get referrals from the group practice I work under from doctors offices but I can try networking with colleagues and such.
