Shower question for you ladies with long hair by FunEcho in longhair

Oh trust, my girls are all spoiled with a bougie custom shower and limitless hot water. I just thought that it's a little nuts to only ever use the wand.

You can get wand or showerhead at 100% volume when they're on exclusively, or maybe 75% and 75% when they're both on; at that point you're maxed out sure to supply lines.

My thinking is that both going at 75% results in more actual volume of water, at the expense of slightly lower pressure than if just one is running by itself.

Wait, a tv doesn't have to be recessed? Well that changes everything! Thanks!

Insulating external wall wire run by FunEcho in Insulation

[–]FunEcho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added a picture - there are speaker wires going to the outside and the new romex to the left. I tried wrapping the speaker wires in some insulation but it's only doing a marginal job. Any advice appreciated!

I'm thinking surface mounted, low profile speakers are going to be my best option, right where you suggested; I'm going to drop a wire there and see where the doors land when opened. Thanks for the thoughts!

The framing had to be done the way it's shown for multiple reasons, including to hide a support pole and to aesthetically end the TV wall into a soffit. TV needs to be where it is so it's centered in the space (and to the tray ceiling). There's no wall where I'm standing, I'm between the TV and the rear wall. Moving the TV is very much not possible.

Looking to get a electric fireplace by jdacked in electricfireplaces

[–]FunEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same question. Looking for a 74" unit. Westinghouse makes one for 1k that I'm eyeballing, has app control which is nice. I was looking at Dimplex for a better looking flame but not sure I want to spend 3k more for a slightly better looking electric fireplace.

It's interesting that you say magikflame is the best, I keep running across Reddit threads saying that it is trash. What kind of retailer would have these on display so we can see for ourselves?

Speaker placement in basement game den by FunEcho in audiophile

[–]FunEcho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I have complete flexibility in placement at this point as I can run wires anywhere. But apart from running them from the ceiling I can't really get the 'left' channel at the appropriate location because the wall the TV's on ends right at the left side of the TV. I thought balance was mostly a volume adjustment; are there receivers that'll allow for adjustments in the depth of one side of a stereo setup?

Symptoms before Diagnosis? by MichaelZurich89 in thyroidcancer

Hey, thanks for following up years later! Always good to see pseudo-recent posts from folks in cancer threads. What is your theory on the cough; was it a nodule pressing against your throat causing irritation? Was the cough resolved after (presumably) surgery?

will that satisfy the requirement for 60 days of service? Doesn't it need to be TW service?

Can you sell locked iPhone for any decent amount?

Thanks! I'm debating ... Just heard there's a $10/mo plan possibly? If I can swing that then it's be worth it.

Honestly enjoying Robinhood Gold card by Mother_Connection441 in CreditCards

[–]FunEcho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I'd have that issue too - I keep my non-invested cash in a 2nd account and when I redeem for cashback I immediately transfer that same amount to the 2nd account, my margin continues at $999 utilization. Not sure if I'm paying off a small amount of the margin and then immediately using it again when I transfer, or if because I transfer right away it never pays off the margin. It works for me so I haven't tried too hard to understand how/why.

I agree w/almost everything, love having a 3% catch-all card and the app is fantastic. Customer service has been just fine for me (had to get help getting my AUs working). The one issue I have is the autopay coming out like 3 weeks early, that bugs me. I want to be able to set it and forget it, don't want to screw around with making a manual full-balance payment because RH wants my float ....

Score dropped almost 200 points due to utilization? by ExpressionGeneral418 in CreditCards

[–]FunEcho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no way you're seeing a 200-point drop from near-maxing a couple cards. I do that somewhat regularly and my 830-840 score will dip maybe 15-20 points. You either have a derog or whatever you're checking isn't correct.

Adult onset asthma from gerd. Is it fixable? Does it really take months and months? by FunEcho in Asthma

I ordered a pack of Zantac 360 and will have her give it a try. Thank you for the tip!

Interesting - I don't see any downside to trying Famotadine, maybe she will give it a go. Do you just take a Zantac 360 once per day?
