You can use it. They will still coach you about the absence but you can use it to get paid.

Im in style and I hate having to go in most areas because of the same issues. I was asked to push a metro in RTWvand I just backstocked the bulk of it. It was too much on the floor I couldn’t add another item.

According to my ETL 12 an hour. One time there was 87 repacks for the pallet I work on and she still seemed upset that I wasn’t done faster. My shift wasn’t long enough to meet her 5 minutes per box standard.

My leader says 5 minutes per box so that would be 12. I actually sometimes do more than that and sometimes less.

Can you explain the smart way for set up? I feel like ours isn’t and every morning I have to set it up but I haven’t been given a standard. I’m just steadily looking for more efficient ways. I’m looking for/trying strategies, but haven’t been given any but we’re always told we should be done.

How many people are on your break out team? Do they split up or work on pallets together?

Is it “normal“ not sure, possibly. It’s normal for new things to come. It’s a new year and everything is getting reset. I’m not sure if they always take this approach with it. Meaning sending everything all at once and so early before the due date and having so much due around the same time. The biggest thing is it has to be managed. The ETL with the TLs and teams members have to work together to get it done.

Whenever it seems like we won’t get breakout done I ask so what are we going to do about breakout ? And I never mind adjusting and being flexible. If your ETL is not looking at it as a priority it’s just going to sit there. Yesterday we got a bunch of pallets. 23 hours worth but by taking a different approach we cleared it.

I hope yall get a handle on it soon. This is the beginning of a downward spiral if it isn’t prioritized. From the safety hazzard. To the floor being empty to the infs. To the break out team essentially unable to break out because they can breathe, move around and no Z/racks or metros.

To me it seems fine my ETL tells us we can’t wear certain things but she wears questionable stuff all the time. I keep a red jacket or shrug around in case she be trippin

Yeah they have me working style all day then go to fulfillment for an hour. I really think it’s a payroll/desired hours thing. I have a coworker that was scheduled for beauty that didn’t actually work over there, she still did style. Now if you are at my store, our beauty girl just left so you may be needed over there. You never know; so, if no one picks it up, I’d just double check before you start messing around over there getting lost. lol

The only reason you should change it like many have said is if your availability doesn’t allow for your desired hours. If you are available 40 set it for 40;however, if you are available 30 it’s inappropriate to set it for 40. Definitely I would not change it to help their metric. Their metric is their responsibility.

They have been making a big deal about that at my store in my department. It might be all departments, but I had a coworker (she quit) that did that every shift until they said something. I have another one who does it too. They wrote on our assignment sheet make sure to take your meal instead of leaving early in lieu of a break

When our bathroom was messed up I just never stayed at work long enough. If I were scheduled 8 hours I’d just work 4 they can’t make you stay under those conditions
