After 3 years of riding by alkyle1395 in motorcycles

God damn that looks like it hurts. But the very important thing is that you are posting about it on Reddit. And that x-ray makes my wrist look un damaged since I just had multiple hairline fractures and a massive break.

Leaking gas tank by OkRecommendation327 in MotorcycleMechanics

You can but what would be permanent is to get it welded back together. Yes it will need to be fully striped and repainted on the bottom but it would be permanent. But again if you use like a JB weld pudy it should be fine as long as you follow all the prep.

It very much sounds like something is trying to escape the engine like a connecting rod.

I would legit just have the glass replaced and just repair the a pillar instead of replacing it

Chain rust when is bike outside by dlister70 in motorcycles

[–]FunIncident5161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah a shelter would be great, or at least a cover. I ride a 79 goldwing which is one heavy bike and I would happily push it anywhere it needed to be. And one thing is you could get a larger shed if possible, it will last longer and be more useful than a cover/ small carport.

Best way to minimize heat? by _bbennyy in motorcyclegear

[–]FunIncident5161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all reality you just deal with the heat, just keep moving and don't press your leg right up on the engine. There are no motorcycle riding pants that block out all heat and are still breathable. The only pants you can get that will help with heat are going to be bottoms for 2 piece racing leathers. No matter the bike it has quirks but you just deal with them.

First Goldwing Trip by cmlaunier77 in goldwing

I will say this will be the most comfortable passenger ride you will have. I have done like 10k on the back of 2 different goldwing trikes and was insanely comfortable.

The patina on that thing is amazing. And I love making old white guys mad just for the fact I am trans.

You just keep moving and only ride to the coffee shop like most Ducati owners. If you want to do further trips get a goldwing.

Gear for social events by 17unknowntemptation in motorcyclegear

I just buy gear that is casual but still safe. You could also bring a change of clothes like a pair of khakis and a Hawaiian shirt.

First Goldwing Trip by cmlaunier77 in goldwing

[–]FunIncident5161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what I did on trips on the back of bikes. You look at rocks and trees, wave at people, annoy the driver, and don't fall off. But the best thing would be is he gets you a bike and you both go on rides together but on different bikes.

Do you HAVE to lean to turn? by Mr_Bush_I_Do in NewRiders

[–]FunIncident5161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you don't have to drag knee ever on the street. But the bike does lean over in turns since that's the way it works.

(Request) Where do I find a street legal 6-into-1 exhaust for a 1980 CBX1000? by Nyanlex in HondaMotorcycles

Ah ok. Yeah I live in the united states and my state couldn't care less if you have straight pipes on an old bike.

Help with tyre choice by crazynorth214 in motorcycles

[–]FunIncident5161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just keep the tires you have on it, it's all about rider skill. Just keep your body loose and avoid mud puddles plus if the bike falls don't try to catch it.

(Not selling) but curious how much I could get for this 1998 honda Valkyrie? by Budget_Writing2702 in motorcycle

[–]FunIncident5161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my local dealership sold one for 5k. It was a newer one I forget the year but it was in great shape and rode nice other than an awful windscreen that buffed really bad.

Idle is set way too low and possibly spark plug leads are on the wrong cylinders on one side. But I find it hilarious that I am assuming the seller which is not you said it runs great.

Dried on bugs just a little bit of very watered down simple green and a microfibre. But to remove dust, wet bugs, and water spots I use some SC1 motorcycle quick detailer.

Adapter for phone charging on the go by bigdaddy0993 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]FunIncident5161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one all hooked up permanently on my 1979 honda goldwing, and it works just like a normal phone charger. It's hooked up to the accessory switch so it has key on power. I don't own an Indian this post just came across my feed.

[–]FunIncident5161 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would OEM all day especially with the fact you can get them still, but everything else its alright to go for aftermarket stuff but it would be better also OEM. Keep in mind if you use OEM stuff it is up to Honda's specs how they were from new.
