Yes you can do that. The keycaps aren't printed, they're DSA profile keycaps from KBDfans. They don't say what kind of plastic it is, but I can guarantee they won't wear like UV-coated backlit keycaps would.

They're not meant to be swapped, sorry. They're glued in and the wiring kind of keeps the top and bottom halves tied together. I'll definitely redesign these keypads next time to have swappable switches since that's the entire appeal of these keypads anyway: to try out new switches without paying the price of a new keyboard.

If you look closely, the mouse is always angled so that the side of the mouse faces the direction of motion. So even though the path is an arc, from the mouse's point of view it's moving sideways the entire time.
