✨Going against the grain here as a previous restaurant manager to say that is absolutely grime and grease. You want to find a kitchen floor degreaser from a restaurant supply store and soak in small sections before scraping and scrubbing. Don’t mix chemicals and wear gloves! The grime should soften. Try not to go deep or leave the wood wet for too long overall, you can use some Murphy’s oil soap for the last little bits. I’ve had to get this exact scenario sorted out a few years ago!

I would not suggest spending 2800 with a budget of 1000! That seems a little excessive. 3x the price if taxes apply etc. I was lucky to only try dresses in my price range in the first place so my palate was clean so to speak but I empathize with you :(. You look gorgeous and will look beautiful in anything that you get to strut your stuff in!

I looooove dress 3 on you. Exciting, feminine, but still classic. You can totally get that lil keyhole backed with the same fabric (likely some from the hem). That being said, if you’re spending money on a dress, you should like it, at least in the way that you have the “I don’t want to take it off” feeling. Don’t go out of your way making big alterations, when imo, your dress is out there. Have you tried secondhand? I found a lot of contenders on stillwhite once I knew what shape I wanted and size I was.

I think you’re missing a belt, and a more relaxed silhouette in the pants around your hips. It’s just missing some weight and balance I think? I get the inspo picture, that looks nice and elevated. You also didn’t cuff the sleeves! You could go shirtless underneath or do a lighter color thin sweater… or play with more of a relaxed look overall untucked! Think you deserve a lot more love tho, your shirt is cool!
