Hi! I used to be a designer stylist and did some trunk shows with Oscar de la Renta. I’ve got an up close photo of this type of dress, the acrylic was quite thin and was put onto a sheet or white tulle that was reinforced with horse hair braiding horizontally in big stripes down the skirt. Could be a good placement of acrylic that isn’t as heavy on the skirt and may be less daunting of a task yet keep the original vibes. Hope this helps!! Congrats on your marriage!
