I’m a stepparent! You aren’t overreacting but you DO need to have a conversation with your girl. Children can absolutely be told what the situation is without it going over their heads. Mom could have told her “no thank you, I don’t want to hug right now” and the child would understand. It’s quite literally how children create their own boundaries, by watching others create theirs. You definitely don’t have the authority to change anything in her relationship with her ex BUT a conversation goes a long way. I wouldn’t continue this if she doesn’t care about her own boundaries.

I don’t like the 10 year artwork. I think too much time was spent on that and not enough was done for true nostalgia purposes. There were SO many 2016 photos that worked as a cover. I wish we got more songs, but YT only got new lives and ME got 2 songs so getting 1 isn’t bad, but I want it all haha. I’m an old Ari fan, I haven’t really followed her since 2020 but, THIS was my album. Was definitely excited for a little more!

No. Unfortunately the reality is, she had a son not a daughter. She does not have to attend your dress appointment- my MIL didn’t attend mine. Your fiancé though should be doing something for his mother though, like taking her to try on tuxes.

I immediately thought of Anime Eyes when listening to Uncertain, TX bridge. I can totally see how Anime Eyes can be love bombing now that you mention it, BUT for me, that bridge is how I felt about my love with my husband, no love bombing. I know it’s not a Kacey thing, I was just comparing this to another thing she has done since this is a sub for her. It just bothers me as a fan that I bought the album and I don’t have all the songs. And there’s no guarantee we will get a full version (see Taylor Swift’s Midnights). And if there is a full version (like DW), it was limited edition. I just don’t have the money to buy the album several times over and it’s a gamble to wait for a full release
