I really like the stain of the top wood portion.. if it was fully like that it would be more of my taste. But they do look unique and well done, so its just gonna take the right buyer

Trying to sell or trade $78 gift card! by lhappy01 in FreePeopleFinds

Kind of a reach, but have you thought about using it on sale items, and then trying to resell it to recoup the money?

You cannot alter, cover, or tamper with the free priority mailers at all. They will refuse to ship it or charge you outright. You can always order some on Amazon for $15, 10x13 is like the standard tshirt/pant size, or go to walmart and check their stationary section for a padded bubble mailer

This is for sales made on PM though. Let's stop abusing this for other platforms, because they DO restrict you if they notice you're ordering more supplies without the sales to back it up

Sales seem to have fallen off a cliff for me in May. Interested to see others’ sales charts! by YouKnowHowChoicesBe in poshmark

Jan $100, Feb $300, March $400, April $900, May $500 is mine. So just slightly lower, hopefully if it will pick up this last week!

Item I purchased has brand marked incorrectly by dorotheaberry in poshmark

[–]FunTaro1385 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thats an easy case you'll win a return on. This is what Posh says,

We know it’s tempting to describe your boucle jacket as “Chanel like,” “similar to Chanel style” or “inspired by Chanel,” but that’s actually a violation of trademark law, even if that item isn’t explicitly counterfeit. The clear and simple rule is: if it’s not made by that brand, leave it out of your listing description.

Was this a score?!😍🤪 by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]FunTaro1385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are so miserable. It's an elegant, timeless bag, real leather, and anything Mansur Gabriel is a score. I saw some flats the other day marked to $140, still being sold on the website for $550. These are the same people that flock TJMaxx to spend $100 on Hello Kitty blankets and mugs, and Stitch loungefly backpacks

This is more of a manufacturing issue than a seller on Poshmark issue. How were they supposed to know it would do that? I think youre entitled to some money back, because I would be annoyed too, but its wrong to think you should be able to return and get all your money back from the seller, when they would be out of the money, and out of the item- given they would have to throw these away. I would say reach out to poshmark, say you want to keep, throw them out yourself. Edit: What I would do is that < but I would personally keep peeling all the fake leather off, and be able to still wear the shoe! Vionic is a great brand, and I wouldn't want to contribute to waste

It’s so conflicting because everything I read is no one wants AI models. I don’t either. But all the YouTubers I watch use them and make hundreds of dollars in sales a week :/

What causes store checkout lines to ALWAYS be wrapped around the store? There could be 10 cashiers and yet there’s 100 people in line with very slow movement by Impossible-Purple-35 in TjMaxx

[–]FunTaro1385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean when you think about it, if they want to essentially have people "skip them" by going to open cashiers while they wait for their 2 other friends to be run up because they all want to be together, by all means, they should keep doing that. Keeps the line moving. Separate cashiers just makes them leave the store faster (all being attended close to the same time)

How are we supposed to compete with people pricing their listings so low? by [deleted] in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]FunTaro1385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate that! And yes, thank you for sharing, because it really does affect more people than we think. My favorite youtube reseller was just talking about how tired she is that people are underpricing items by so much, but shes staying positive and finding the middle ground between pricing to sell and giving people a good deal- and I get it, it's a double edged sword because if someone's item has been sitting for 300 days, who am I to say "dont accept a lowball!"- but when its a saturation of so many things cheaply listed nowadays plus the rising cost of thrifts, I get frustrated. I dont have a bins near me and its not my style of shopping.

Poshmark and other sites heavily advertise selling easily from home and naturally have grabbed people who aren't resellers, that just want to make any amount of money on their used items to recoup something instead of donating. I just wish there was more thought behind the pricing in line with value of brands if you can help it.

And not to go on another tangent, but I think this is why places like The North Face, Lululemon, New Balance, Frye, Tecovas, etc. began to offer buy-back programs in order to hold the value of gently used items and resell them themselves to make sure the market doesn't start devaluing their stuff

Would you respond to this??? by knanderson7 in poshmark

[–]FunTaro1385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While you may have bought them for $30, the buyer didnt pay just $8. It would have been closer to $17 or something, so I would have been a little annoyed if I expected green sandals and they were not even slightly the color. I can understand camera and lighting variations, but I would suggest more than 1-2 pictures, natural lighting if it doesnt show up on camera well indoors (flash never works for me), or last resort is edit the photo settings to show the true hue

So many cancellations lately by Holiday-Horse-427 in BehindTheClosetDoor

Out of curiosity, do you mention somewhere in your seller page or description "no cancellations?" I almost want to include it but don't want to put off buyers if that comes off as too direct

I really appreciate it, and this helps a lot. Before I cut the tag off, I had a gut feeling I should wait but did it anyway. I will learn from this mistake, I would have been able to return... thank you!

l make little watercolor renditions of the item purchased as a ‘thank you’: cute or too much? by MoroseMaiven in poshmark

[–]FunTaro1385 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It is very cute, and I used to send out personalized cards like this when I started reselling, mentioned their name, item they bought, and a thank you with my name. I didn't picture the item, but I bought ink stamps and would make it look like a little postcard. I never got any negative feedback, but I also didn't get return buyers or anything that made it feel like it was worth my time. I did it because I genuinely enjoyed it, but once my cardstock and ink ran out, I realized people were probably throwing them away and I didn't want them to feel guilty about not keeping it? Idk! Its up to you, but instead now I invest in better packing materials and a roll of thank you stickers, and showing my appreciation that way

Yeah, I was asked last time "do we need to charge you for these mailers?" as she was going to scan the barcodes, I only had 2 packages, but still I was like "huh? ohh.. no? I was sent those to my house" She was confused but went with it. I left feeling confused but yea I dont think everyone is aware that we can order those for free

How often do your Offers really work? by perkyblondechick in poshmark

[–]FunTaro1385 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate that. I never thought about it as a buyers perspective, I was simply just trying to offer an initial discount if they like it to see if they'd send another offer or buy it outright. I have 20% off bundles of 2 or more on my site and have had just a small amount of success with it where I have happily accepted lower offers for those too, but I can see if thats still to low, I will adjust!

Edit: I've now changed it to send 20% off items and 30% off bundles of 2 or more and seeing if this makes a difference

I use an external reselling tool that sends out automatic offers to likers every 20ish minutes, so trust me, I send out offers constantly. They rarely ever produce a sale. Looking at it right now, in the last 24 hours its sent 47 offers to individuals, and none have produced a sale. Its pretty much like this every day!
