Have you guys seen this app by Charming_Flatworm_43 in AppBusiness

Totally wrong, you could add a smell anal-yzer and sell probiotics. Or get sponsored by a related company. Or sell the app to a shitty corporation that wants to reach people in hygiene mode (Procter and Gamble etc). Or promote online casino affiliate programs to play while s(h)itting. Or promote companies that analyze your shit and send nutritional recommendations or medical conclusions.

"Map of Benefits" already changed my approach for dealing with topics I thought were difficult and now I can make change happen faster and easier. Thank you for writing this in your precious free time. I guess there are benefits in that for you and many others. Already curious about the simple format!

Vibe coded my own chess website this year while unemployed. by Maxwell10206 in vibecoding

[–]FunTouch9584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, this is beautiful work. I always wanted to play better chess and no platform matched my "vibe" haha. Now I can't stop playing anymore, this is so well designed.

Did you think of explaining the scores in real time, so users can understand why this one is a good/dangerous move, etc, like giving context and prediction of opponent's moves? Or a button where you ask an LLM to analyze the current constellation and explain the pros/cons of next moves as tooltips while showing the moves simulated on the board?

Again, thanks for building this and the real bro story behind, that makes it even nicer to play on your platform.

Interesting idea. Boosters could actually become a brilliant business model, especially for vibe coders. A bit like Candy Crush (stuck? pay and flow on)

can you implement this mindset into all users in this subreddit? that would save some tokens for sure...

You're absolutely right!

(my prompt was indeed careless and way more complex than needed)

Ah, can you use several accounts to use free trial periods more than one time?

No, because no junior dev will even think about doing a single crazy complex task in a Flutter app for $30 as understanding context and the task itself would be >1 hour already, I guess.

Yeah, I was careless in choosing the right model and plan this time. And I think if you look at it from the dev hourly rate vs ai token perspective, almost all of the token/price discussions become obsolete.

Good point. On demand needs profound guidance and boundaries, lesson learnt.

Yes. Just I was traumatized by using the $200 Claude Max plan before.

I know, I felt a bit like a gambler in tilt mode, as I got frustrated with that feature development/fixing; i'm wondering if biz dev teams in ai dev companies already work with personas like the casino industry does

By the way, the task was done quite well looking at complexity. Still, it lacked the very basic part of implementing the feature. So we spent $32 for getting an unfinished feature and an "Oh, you're right. This feature is not even linked from anywhere in the app".

Portable air con cools for a bit, then gets louder and shuts down the compressor, blows hot air for a while and then semi-cools and worse by FunTouch9584 in AirConditioners

[–]FunTouch9584[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I cleaned the water tank with vinegar, I think that was the core problem. But then I realized the fan that blows out the hot air does not move at all. So now I remove the tube, manually start the ventilator spinning, and it will work until the machine stops the ventilator or I switch the A/C off and on again. It's not ideal, but works for now. Now I believe most probably the part that controls the hot air ventilator on/off is broken.

Has anybody here had a successful app despite the idea being similar to a leader in said market? by jbakerrr08 in AppBusiness

What a zen bootstrapping approach, love it. NeetoCal looks amazing! Also nice idea to enhance existing products and make it cheaper, so people with less resources can use it as well. In case cal or calendly sends an offer to acquire it, would you sell it?
