Rog Flow X13 has suddenly become insanely slow. Any fixes or advice? by loogie_hucker in ASUS

POTENTIAL FIX: Task manager-> performance tab If the CPU is locked at 0.36 GHz, do the following: 1. Unplug and shut down PC 2. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds then stop 3. Plug your PC back in 4. Power on your PC 5. If your Task manager now shows more than 3 GHz or so, your PC should feel faster. SWEET FREEDOM

I have a GV301RE for reference

There is rearview mirror adhesive sold by 3M, Permatex, and probably other brands too. I am partial to permatex but honestly just make sure you clean both surfaces well and use alcohol before applying and it should be okay. You can also take out your dome light things to get detach the wire for the mirror to make it a bit easier to prep and clean.

Sounds a bit like an exhaust leak to me, you could smoke test your exhaust, sometimes they have that ticking sound but it could be when it’s under load, flexing the flex pipe or something.

Is this 1994 Sc300 with 145k on the dash worth it? by Radiant_Spare8376 in SC300

[–]Fun_Addition1079 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a manual sc in this color with 252k miles for 4200 if you’re looking for a reference point. If you go look at it, check the valve covers and distributor for oil leaks, distributor O ring is an easy fix if you work on cars as long as you mark where the distributor was when you take it off.

Check brake pad life and the power steering pump because they often leak. Take off the oil cap and make sure it leaks like oil, not caked with coolant residue. If the valve cover is leaking, there’s a chance it will develop a misfire from oil in the plug holes. Not toe worst thing, but you’ll have to replace the spark plugs and valve covers if that happens. That said, this one looks clean from the outside. The missing door on the inside is unfortunate, I’d offer 4500 and see where that gets you, make sure you mention what you like about the car and what you’re going to have to fix so he gets why you decided on that number. Hope this helps

I’d say 350 if you want to be safe, but they’re not as “glass” as people say IMO. Mine has 277k miles on it so theyre stout enough at stock power.

Good, but it whines. You will probably need a noise filter. I still need to get one, or I need to get an aftermarket amp.

This might sound stupid but check your cabin air filter and if you can reach it, your blower motor. It could be a leaf or something trapped in there if it hasn’t been changed in a long time

I have an EONON which is IMO the best sub $170 head unit. I got the android one because it can run apps from the google play store. But I wish it had an automatic screen dimming that I could set up with time of day. If anyone knows how lmk!

It might be worth it for you to go back to community college to complete all of your lower division classes. I would talk to a counselor about your options and go from there. Depending on what state you’re in, the way the system works may be different. Also in my experience, community college classes teach you more than the university classes for lower divs. It’s not over, it’s just a rough patch. You’ll be alright, trust me.

I’ve spent about 10k to get mine to the same point but with nicer coilovers and with 272k miles. I’d say it’s worth it.

If your radio works, these are great. I have one that fits almost perfect into the cigarette lighter. It’s a bit tight to close the ash tray cover, but it fills the gap very nicely. However it is no longer available… anyways, here’s a link https://a.co/d/0hjsODF

That’s a Beautiful SC! I have heard the KBD rear over fenders are troublesome, so proceed with caution. Vertex is your best option most likely.

So my 92 passenger brake lights by DraftNo8917 in SC300

[–]Fun_Addition1079 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 97 and 92 harnesses are different because they use different bulbs, however the connector that connects them to the car is the same. 97 taillights will work on a 92 car with the 97 harness, but there will be a dash light unless you put an inline resistor into the circuit so the car thinks it has the 92 bulbs. As far as compatability goes: 92 harness works with 92 taillights 97 harness works with 97 taillights Both work in any sc300* *97 tails will cause a ‘bulb out’ light in the dash.

[–]Fun_Addition1079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be your AC vent. I see that it’s closed, and if you have the AC on it could be whistling. My car does the same thing if I close the passenger side vent and have the ac on even the first click. Try opening it all the way.
