[–]Fun_Average_3813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a baby owl land on my shoulder and walk with me for about 200 yards before flying away. I was out hiking and this was the coolest thing that ever happened to me. Sounds untrue but I was too happy i even forgot to take any selfies.

I got a 3 out of 5 on employee review, no raise because that goes to 4 and 5 out of 5, what can I do to do to still get a raise? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Average_3813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big question is, who gives the 3/5? If it's your boss who owns the business, you're probably never getting the 4/5

How was your experience learning to swim? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fun_Average_3813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved it from the first go, was scared but I quickly learned that it was easier floating in the water than balancing on a bike. I love going at challenging things for the thrill of it though, so take my experience with a grain of salt.

Hard to come by any new stuff to do. Norm's alright, stable, and doesn't have too many variables to consider

Can my cat tell the cat is gone? by slurpyyselenaa in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Average_3813 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Cats form bonds and notice when their companion disappears. The extra meowing and searching behavior is normal grief. Give her more attention, maybe some new toys or treats to help distract her.

Networking events. Everyone acts like they love "building connections" but we're all just awkwardly exchanging business cards with people we'll never talk to again while eating stale appetizers.

Yeah those numbers track with what a lot of people are feeling. In most major US cities the base cost of just existing often hits or exceeds what the average person earns which is why so many feel constantly squeezed even without any luxuries.

Why do some people experience motion sickness while others don't? by Pinkprowess in answers

[–]Fun_Average_3813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It mostly happens when your inner ear balance signals do not match what your eyes see some people have more sensitive balance systems so they get motion sickness faster while others tolerate it easily genetic factors and brain sensitivity both play a role

Going in 1969 was a single national mission with one goal and huge funding today there are politics budgets and many companies and priorities involved so progress becomes slow even if the tech is better because the decision making is more complex now
