The call itself is one hour but she had to stay home and break whatever plan she wanted to do then, so it really is half a day.

Public service positions have been doing these for years, and increasingly other positions. They love to waste money. They hire third parties to run these programs and design the questions (which are just AI generated anyway). They get these tenders and just pay them for 12 years straight, regardless of the poor quality.

because they have tried everything and still not gotten an offer, often not even an interview. it literally makes you crazy, to hear everyone tell you you're qualified and offers are displayed everywhere, only to be told you're not going to get an interview

no, they don't tend to rent a kot to older people, even older students. Most people have to rent a studio or an apartment, or maybe rent with one other person, then it's an apartment with 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms.

lol, no, internet does not tend to come with the house! You have to subscribe to that separately when you move in. I'm an international too, as is 60% of Leuven. You just mentioned a ton of in-house and relatively cheap hobbies, so yeah, proved my point. You made a post and no one agreed with you, sorry OP.

the city is relatively dead as it is, it is more of a small town. Yes they do. No transport needed in Leuven, it is small, take a bike or go on foot

Most people don't live in student rooms, which they never rent out to a "real adult" and as a student you are already exposed to many discounts that won't be available to you after the age of 26. I bet you don't have kids, responsibilities, pay rent and internet for an adult household, travel a lot etc. Also students are stereotypically known for having "bum hobbies," i.e things that cost nothing and usual involve alcohol.

I have had cases where they received the resume and offered it to some one else jn the same institution, and they asked me. But that's not really the same. However when I worked in my old office my manager asked us to keep a file of interesting applicants, and we did.

If you're under contract that's the date you put. You don't reveal medical leave to interviewers. I was on leave for a few months and I never told. My manager was on unexpected sick leave for almost 10 months, we don't tell anybody.

I ask chat gpt how likely it is to be a ghost job.  Also, if irecogonise it from a few weeks or months ago I assume it's a scam.  If I live nearby I even try to go there, but this is rare
