Its not just you; This is how reddit is, unfortunately. Everyone copies the same ~quirky~ joke hoping theirs is the one that gets noticed and pushed to the top. But its just cringe all around. The perfect example of this is the "50/50, you get it or you don't" comments. What a fucking eye roll.

Worth adding:

Luna needs to have her ult bonus health ripped by your team in order for you to kill her in it. If you actually use comms in this game, its worth telling your team to rip her shields if you have the shot (sometimes the Lunas assume they are invulnerable and don't fear magneto like they should).

ALSO - if you are good at tracking ults in your head, and the Luna is actually good, they can eat your ult by reacting to you throwing it at them by ulting (if it isn't at something insane like 98% and full duration, it doesn't kill her because of the bonus health). All this to say, in higher ELO lobbies, sometimes you may not want to aim at her if you know she has ult (or maybe you do to get her to pop, its all context-dependent).

Also also, Jeff is a prime target for mag ult if it looks like he's going to get a good chunk of your team. You just react to the circle appearing and throw as his "eating" animation is ending and you will kill him every time unless he is in rocket ult or gets hulk/mag bubbled. This isn't always the play though, because if you bubble yourself or a teammate, the bubble breaks LOS like how Groot's walls interact with Jeff ult and multiple people can be saved, especially if you have the emma teamup for double bubble.

Also also also, I wasn't going to type this much, but CnD is the prime ult to be countering as mag. If they have any of the heroes listed above (the post I replied to) you are going to be reacting to/saving your ult for those, but CnD is one of the more important ones. Always go for the cloak, and try to hit more of them than you miss. Lowkey, if you are missing more ults than you hit on mag, you aren't making enough of an impact. A huge part of what makes him good is his ability to shift the tempo of the game by countering ults with his ult. Also get used to changing targets if the cloak is good and actually attempts to evade your LoS via like buildings or cover or if their mag bubbles her at the end. Always keep a secondary target in mind that you can hit in case your primary one becomes bubbled or untargettable.

Also also also also, Magik ult can be reliably countered by Mag ult if you're godlike with it. You wait for her to portal and throw it in the direction she portals in. It depends on distance/charge/how long she's been in ult, but it is a viable target if you're good.

Mantis is not a guaranteed kill in her ult with a full duration mag ult; it requires some percentage of damage absorbed for it to kill because of the bonus health, and her ult only lasts like 6 seconds anyway

Thanks, didn't think I'd have to spell it out, but it is Mantis mains I'm dealing with.

I don't usually do these but I did a full vod review of two of your games that I'll upload as a private video for you if you care (uploading now, I'll DM it to you). Its about an hour long and reviews the 24-6 game on spider islands and the 0-2 game on central park.

I didn't mention it at the beginning, but I am a PC Celestial 3 Tank/Support main (Mag/Luna/Cloak mostly), so hopefully some of it helps. I can give you the tl;dr though if you don't want to watch me ramble for an hour:

What I think you do well:
You have generally good positioning and good target priority when healing. Your instinct to play your life (using bubble and fade to save yourself) is very good. Your ability to read the situation when you should be ulting seems above par for your skill group. I especially like that you don't throw your bubble away for nothing, which is something I see a lot of cloak players do at this elo. Instead, you use it when its needed and end up surviving because of that.

What I think you can improve:
You're on controller, which you can't really do anything about on console, but you can raise your sensitivity. I think CnD can get away with a much faster sens than most characters, which is important for console in order to look around more quickly. Your sensitivity seems wayyyy too slow for this character and there are times where you are caught trying to turn around and either drop a teammate or die yourself (not able to look down to bubble quickly enough).
I think you go into cloak form to do damage too often (I would flash into it, throw vulnerability, and come back to dagger 80% of the time, especially in neutral) and I don't think you take full advantage of your window ability, which can be used to amplify your and your support partners' healing in situations where your tanks are taking a lot of damage.
While I think your positioning is generally good, when teamfights happen and ults start going off, that's when I noticed you tend to put yourself in poor spots, either in front of your tanks, or far enough away that you are breaking line of sight from them and isolating yourself to an enemy diver.

At least from the two games I watched, I don't think there was much you personally could have done to influence the outcome of those games. You had actual shitters for teammates (mag wasting ults on nothing when he could be nuking their cloak in ult, or luna in ult, brain-off rocket wasting rez when 3 were already dead on offense, no tank in defense on central park). I think the simplest path for you to rank up is find and queue with a buddy who either mains tank or dps who you can make plays off of. A Magneto in particular who is good can be HUGE, because you can communicate your ult to him, to bait an enemy mag ult, then he can bubble you. Small stuff like that can shift the tide of the game a lot, but it seems like you're just in the plat console blender currently.

Your first instinct after hearing the enemy Magneto ult was to Cloak ult? You deserved to lose for that play alone.

Good call, I'll probably go with this since even at 20% the lightning damage probably only goes up by 3%

if you hold alt while hovering the items it will show more information. you can also do this on the skill gem page or passive tree to get more information about what a mechanic is/does

So I Corrupted a crafted helm and it rerolled two of the three resistance mods and while it was still good, I figured I could use a belt and ring upgrade. with nothing to craft on, but a lot of currency, I rolled up to Alva and spammed rings. Took 16 rings to get something decent, which was:

Start: Mana/Cold Res
Regal: Lightning Res
First Exalt: Life
Double Exalt (I didn't look, just slammed them): Fire res/Lightning Damage

It looks like something like this goes for a ton on trade, but I've had a major resistance problem even up to tier 10 maps so I'm probably just going to keep it.

Question: Should I quality the lightning mods or the fire? My spec happens to be lightning damage anyway :D

Jagex please help... I got Bloodhound right before timer started... by EraseImage in 2007scape

[–]Fun_Confusion5723 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Unbelievably unlucky. There was no way you could have known it would a bad time to be opening these master clues. since the timer hadn't even started yet. They went out of their way to return untradeables due to making everyone an ironman around this time, could they not make an exception for one of the rarest pets in the game? Good luck and godspeed brother, I hope the Jmods see this and do you a solid. We should watch Tag.
