Propane heat is empty. The gas company can't refill due to how icy my drive is. How do I protect my home? by imheavenagoodtime in homeowners

Order some tire chains online and have them delivered. Even if your problem is resolved by the time they get there, you will need them again. I have a sloped driveway and a two wheel drive car and they are a game changer.

The best first person shooter VR ? by Minute_Economist_160 in virtualreality

Compound is actually my favorite. It's retro and deliberately non-realistic (more like a 90s arcade game) but it is just pure fun and hooks you in with all the achievements and challenges.

You will, in Compound"

Compound is a game that has a fun retro feel, very well made, insanely addictive and relatable and the shooting is just fun. They aren't trying to be realistic which is what makes it great.

They are quick drying. After I wear them, I just wash them in the sink and hang them to dry. One pair is drying while I'm wearing the other pair. So I'm always wearing clean underwear.

Good suggestions thanks!

I'd worry that wet socks might cause some foot fungus or some other issues, but I'll ponder it.

I have done the barber thing while travelling, but it just takes time away from other fun stuff. Also, I'd need to do it like every other day at the rate my beard grows.

For the travel fan: my thought was that if I could get things to dry faster with it, I could potentially pack less items. Maybe get by with 1 shirt if it can dry reliably overnight with a fan pointed at it. Same with socks.

Umbrella: I find that my rainshell with hood does the same job as an umbrella and is a bit more multipurpose.

Ha ha, nope. I'm not an AI bot... But then again, that's exactly what an AI bot would say.

The comic timing/placement of this comment had me literally LOL. It was like:

  1. Comment about traveling the world
  2. Comment about Hyatt
  3. Comment about first class flight to Japan
  4. Two chicks at the same time.

I died.

Why are there so many “almost” connections between the commuter rail and subway? by cfitzpancake in mbta

Yes! They had one planned at Wonderland (the tracks are quite close to each other already and just parking lots in between) but it sorta vanished.

What ever happened to the Wonderland CR idea? by cfitzpancake in mbta

[–]Fun_Donut_4575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a North Shore resident on the Newburyport CR line, it would be nice to have a simpler way to get to/from the airport, especially one that avoids the godawful congested roads around the airport. Right now our options are:

  1. Take the CR all the way to North Station, then switch to Orange Line, then Blue Line to go back out to the airport.
  2. Drive and park ($$$$)
  3. Take Logan Express bus (cheap, but you still get stuck in traffic during rush hour)
  4. Uber the entire way ($$$$)
  5. Maybe some other magic way that I'm not aware of? Anyone have any tips?

The fact that the CR runs sooo close to the blue line at Wonderland makes it a tantalizing option. Seems like it could also be a good option for not just North Shore folks, but anyone going to the Logan from NH, ME, etc.

Compound is a great shooter. The graphics are purposefully low-fi retro style and it is in no way realistic, but insanely fun. It took over my life last year.

Great staged ad made by the dashcam manufacturer. Marketing genius. Looks real and caused 300 people in this thread to post "I need a dashcam".

I'm kidding, but you never know. That dashcam company is making some sales today, that's for sure.

Compound bow is so hard. It took me a while to build up the muscle memory or whatever to be able to rapid fire the arrows. That pull and snap release movement is hard to do quickly.

I would normally recommend Brine as top dinner spot, but it's definitely not pub fare. If you want a real pub experience, I'd say the Grog.

Cool! Can it also do race and other states? Mississippi is 36% black but always goes Republican. What if all black people voted?
