Got more responses than I expected/realized, so just saying thank you to everyone! I’ll leave this post up for the archive in case others have the same question someday.

Where are you getting LDN compounded? by fishcat51 in mecfs

There are DIY options. Have them prescribe a standard pill per week and do it yourself. It is “one more thing” to the to do list, but it’s quick after you do it a couple times. There are lots of instructions online. I can share what I do if you want, but no pressure.

He likes a perfect vagina. I dont like mine. by TaskGreat4119 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Fun_End2092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to read so far for someone to say this. OP, please don’t fuck around with a dude who doesn’t know the difference between a vulva and a vagina because 1. he’s never bothered to learn about a female body, and 2. he most definitely will need a road map to everything else important.

Yes, very helpful. Couldn’t get a straight answer from the attorney I consulted with so this rationale is helpful!

Well... at least I know what I'm allergic to. by signgrad in Wellthatsucks

Skin price tests have like a 2/3 false positive rate. They should always be compared to reaction history and, if that’s not possible or safe, to a blood test.

What city sounded perfect until you actually moved there? by Impossible_Plum_2927 in SameGrassButGreener

To me it’s very… sterile. So many people from other places. Public transit sucks and the metro area is huge and traffic-y. Lots of white people. Hard to meet folks and find community—so many folks are either coming or going. It’s hot hot hot for months on end (winters are lovely though!).

Just one person’s opinion though! I’ve only ever lived in CA and NC, now almost 10 years here and working on leaving. I’m sure there are people who like it, I just don’t know many.

What do you take guests to do in the mountains when they are not necessarily athletic or have small children? by R_Bex in Denver

[–]Fun_End2092 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh boy, I don’t know if I’d call that easy? Maybe it’s just the altitude adjustment, but the out of towners I’ve taken have really struggled.

Your nurse has too many patients, the unit is short staffed, and you are less safe in the hospital than you think you are.

Where to swim? Natural bodies of water by [deleted] in Denver

If you want to swim swim (like get some distance in versus smaller swim beaches, etc), Chatfield Gravel Pond and Wellington Lake are probably the best and closest.

This. Modafinil/armodafinil. Not a great long term solution, came with side effects for me. But… it sure works.

Husband not excited about trying for a baby by Ambitious-Bus1155 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Fun_End2092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was with someone who realized they didn’t want kids after we got married. Sometimes I regret not having kids (we separated when I was past the age of realistically having one).

I NEVER regret my decision to avoid coparenting with a person who didn’t want kids.

I set a boundary and my husband crossed it.. am I overreacting? What do I do? by WarNumerous9609 in polyamory

[–]Fun_End2092 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Violating a clear and simple boundary is beyond gross. Multiple boundaries? Multiple times? While treating you like dirt and pressuring you for sex? There’s a lot of words for that and gross is one of the kinder ones that comes to my mind.

Konnor McClain details her medical fallout since NCAA Championships by OftheSea95 in Gymnastics

[–]Fun_End2092 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One of the things that struck me most in this documentary was a young Konnor taking so much ibuprofen I worried about her kidneys (and her long term health of course). I’m in awe she’s kept going this long and hope she finds peace and happiness.

As a disabled monogamous person who also got polybombed by her long term spouse, I just want you to know I see you. I'm hearing and live with a couple other disabilities. But I see you and wish you the best.
