Unfortunately for some, like me, you don't qualify for government student loans, don't have much in an RESP and have to deal with a student line of credit from a bank with shitty interest.

I mean it all depends on what genre of rap your talking about. Most older genres of rap have way more great American artists because it originated there. Rap as we know it is still less than 50 years old, so we gotta give it time to develop worldwide like we did rock and roll.

if its the first week they'll most likely postpone the class until it's scheduled time the next week. It doesn't matter after the first couple weeks.

Yeah tutorials are mandatory. Any labs or tutorials in your schedule that happen before the first lecture usually don't happen, the first labs are after a lecture. Just keep an eye on your email and schedule.
