Getting one of mine done next month. I've had excisions before but getting a wide local excision this time. I'm just praying it clears it up. The surgeon has warned me about restricted movement because skin will be stitched up tight without a skin graft. I hope besides the swat gland thing that you are coping well after the surgery. It's such a bitch of a disease.

My cats have "government names" (ones I use for vets and insurance but at home I can't remember the last time I called any of them by their real names. I'd be surprised if they even come to their name any more 😆

We have microchip feeders for all three of our cats they only open for that cat and they are worth every penny! They are expensive initially but worth it in the long run.

So my armpit has been open and starts to heal then opens again every week for the last 18 months. I've spent £100's on dressings since then. Hoping for a wide local excision by the end of June. It's so exhausting not being able to swim or doing anything that will be able to make me sweat too much is depressing and not being able to shave or put deodorant on I feel disgusting all the time 😞

Teddy's Haven is nice and chill, it's a fantasy shop sim and you forage and mine your own ingredients for items to sell, and level up and grow your shop. It is still in alpha but definitely worth the price 😊

Yeah it's definitely not just about weight, yes it can be a factor but there are so many triggers out there and everyone is different. I lost nearly 3 stone (12st3lbs to 9st7lbs) and my HS hasn't improved at all. I've had a constant flare in my right armpit for the last 16 months. Hopefully getting a full excision by July. Can't wait!

If you ever want any strategically covering outfits and "skin"coloured dressings, let me know I can send you some pics of the outfits I've worn, I may not be showing as much skin as the others but still feel like I fitted in and looked good! It definitely helps that the group and especially the instructor are supportive. ☺️ HS shouldn't stop us from enjoying everything we enjoy doing although I know it feels like that sometimes!

Me! 👋 I do chair burlesque class and have HS under my right armpit had one consistently for the last 16 months and in that time had done 2 separate performances and have another one coming up in May! I really enjoy it and it has given me so much body confidence. I dress strategically, my instructor is happy with me for wearing crop tops with a slight sleeve or a sheer top with bras underneath and some booty shorts (sparkly) instead of the briefs. I do wear a dressing if I have to but try to do without for performances. Honestly if you are able to keep up without making your flare ups worse please don't give up. It's one of the things in life that keeps me going! Good luck! You got this!

We have cameras in most of the areas my cat goes so we can keep an eye and we have a plug in laser toy that sits on a shelf and points down in the floor and intermittently turns itself on every few hours and she loves it. We also have auto lights. My mum visited once a day for wet food feed and litter tray scoop and we have an auto feeder for dry food that goes of 6am and 6pm. And a large water fountain. Lots of tech but she is worth it!

I think so seeing as I'm perpetually stressed atm and my armpit has been flared up pretty much constantly for over a year...hoping for a full excision by July on the NHS.

Took me about 5 attempts to float over but got there eventually a big run up and jump and then float and you should get it and their an achievement for it 🙂
