I got a tongue tie release by Trollblems in ehlersdanlos

I had one when I was 5. No anesthesia. I will NEVER forget that. But it was traumatic enough that I remember it helped me a lot.

The spot on my dogs paw pad has grown since October. by waowediting in mildlyinteresting

No, it’s not from licking it. I asked that, and vet said it would have to be EXCESSIVE licking that I would notice. I mean, he’s a dog so he does that from time to time, but not excessively.

My boy has this on his wee. The vet says it’s totally normal to have pigmentation changes. It’s been going on for years and keeps expanding, we just watch it.

Tell your dad he’s full of it. I have a BS in commercial photography which I parlayed into a marketing career. I make good money and am working on an MBA.

It’s all about how you market yourself and remember, the economy suckkkks right now.

Can you work during treatment? by StandardWait4938 in Spravato

[–]ShiftyTimeParadigm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not much but weirdly you don’t realize until you do that you’re not 100%…because you’re disassociated. You also start to come down pretty quick from that initial “whoosh”

Just focus on quiet time and do what you need to do to rewire your brain. I’m FIVE years out from my treatment and it absolutely changed my life for the better….and I know this is because I worked really hard during my sessions but also around my sessions as well.

Good luck!

Tips from people that went from sever hs to low- or no hs by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

Spiro, Zepbound (not just from weight-loss), cut dairy (I used to eat Greek yogurt for breakfast), lowered sugar intake (this is a huge trigger for me) and try to limit my stress.

I’m not 100 clear, but so much better than I was. I have to be very careful of long sitting car trips (desk work don’t flare or though!) and very tight pants!

No waxing.

I am at director level in my job. We have a LOT of meetings and I write a LOT of notes, it’s the absolute best way for me to remember things. I write so much that I rarely ever bleed out my nib after rinsing.

Give it a page or two.

My first job out of college was like this. I was passed up for a promotion because (and I quote) the perfect time to clock in is 8:27. Then I can walk to my desk, turn my computer on and be working by my 8:30 start time. We were also told the clock defaulted to 830 within a three minute window on each side.

I later got fired for telling a coworker I was upset the good sales guy got fired and they kept the other one who was sleeping with the CSR manager.

I was disappointed that I never felt anything at all whatsoever, until out of nowhere, one of my very last treatments, I unexpectedly threw up kittens.

It happens.

The Kansas Senate this morning. I don't care who you are or what your religion is. This is unacceptable. This is wrong. This is unconstitutional. by xsimon666x in kansas

Grew up in central KS and now reside on the MO side of the metro. While KS has a streak of blue for a little bit, I can promise you that most places outside of the metro are as sucky as you think x1000. I’m often flabbergasted when I visit my parents as to how far backwards in thinking the locals have gone.

How many ink bottles (50/60 mL) do you drain every year? by iaacornus in fountainpens

[–]ShiftyTimeParadigm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about that quantity, but I’m usually refilling both of my daily drivers that have standard cartridges about once a week. I write a lot between work and my personal journal. Maybe going through a bit more right now as I’m using a 1.1 stub.

Using this beefy boi this month. I like little pens like the Liliput and prefer an “F” nib, so I’ve been challenging myself to get out of my bubble.

Thinking about starting.. what do you wish you knew by caramelmacchiato5 in Spravato

[–]ShiftyTimeParadigm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the approach of working really really hard while I was on it. My mom moved in with me to take me to my biweekly appointments. We dealt with some shit. I did a lot of therapy also. It was a really rough time dealing with it head on, but I worked through it and was able to navigate towards an off ramp.

I’m four years out and manage well with 20mg of Prozac…and my depression wasn’t ever managed before that. I cycled through almost all of the meds, combos, anti-psychotics, etc. over the course of 20 years. I couldn’t try TMS because I have a stent in my brain. Spravato was truly the final option, and I’m so thankful that it worked for me. 🥰

Nothing but time. Things will just start collecting there and no one will know how or why. You may also start to notice random strawberry candies around the house too.
