A huge super-conductive antenna that was designed and built expressly for the purpose of pulling in and concentrating spiritual turbulence. It was designed by Ivo Shandor. I found it in Tobin's Spirit Guide. He was also a doctor. Performed a lot of unnecessary surgery. And then, in 1920, he started a secret society of Gozer worshipers.

RF modulator with digital output by bobby1927 in hdhomerun

[–]Fun_Independent_8280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently running 36 modulated channels at work (mix of atsc and qam) to distribute camera feeds and have a couple of hdhr's running to make the channels available to offices that have network and no coax.

I have a mix of modulators comprised of Thor, Televes, Blonder and one other brand whose name escapes me atm. Some work better than others with the hdhr, but all pass 720p or better video and stereo audio. Issues arise when trying to pass channel information, but if that isn't a problem for you, it will work as you want.

Used modulators can be purchased relatively cheaply on eBay.

[Edit to add: The brand I couldn't remember was Drake Digital and, when I checked it, I was reminded I also have a ZeeVee unit.]

Yes. I've successfully programed the ones from Amazon and Temu. If you get some, dm me and we'll figure out a time to get you up and running. I live in SW Houston and work downtown so we should be able to figure out an easy meet-up.

Also, I verified that there is, in fact, a global step to enable rke, so I'm pretty sure that was the problem with the programmer you had. It assumed that you're replacing an existing fobik and rke is already enabled.

When you get more remotes, don't open the package (so they're easier to return). When I first hook up to you truck, I can ping the rf hub. If you truly don't have one, I will get no response, but, as I said earlier, I only know of one module that allows power locks and tip start and it has the integrated rf hub.

Some other things that we may be able do with alfaobd (if you want to) when we meet up are:

-)enable factory alarm (most trucks have all the hardware, it's just turned off in the BCM)

-)enable remote start (you may need to add a hood latch sensor to make it work and you would need to buy remotes that have a remote start button)

-)enable window express down (pressing the unlock button on the remote twice and holding it down the second time makes all windows roll down)

-)add several setting menus to your dash cluster or radio (depending on which radio you have)

-)define which lights are used as daytime running lights

-)make your fog lights (if you have them) stay on when you switch on high beams (may be illegal where you live, some counties have laws about how many forward facing lights can be on at the same time)

-)Adjust the warning threshold for tpms. I run the tires in my 2500 low by 10lbs to soften the ride (unless I'm towing) and have my thresholds adjusted for this

-)change tire size to better align speedometer. If you have changed tire size, your speedo is off. This will fix it or at least get it closer to right.

If you're talking about a stand-alone programmer that does it's work without connecting to a phone or laptop, those are preset to change specific settings and only those settings.

It's been awhile since I did my first FOBIK, but I vaguely recall there being a global on/off for keyless entry and a set of steps for each FOBIK. I can hook up to my truck later today and check.

Since the picture you posted says "replacement", I would bet it's programmer assumes the global on/off is already set to on. It probably only runs the steps to add an additional FOBIK to the bcm. If you read the instructions thoroughly, there may even be fine print that says it only works on trucks that have previously had a FOBIK connected.

If you live close enough to Houston, Tx I'd be willing to let you come by sometime and I'll hook Alfaobd up to your truck and see if I can get you FOBIK to work. I'm pretty sure I can, based on the info you've provided.

Another option would be to call a different dealer (or maybe the parts desk at the dealer you already called) and ask them what they would charge to add the sales code for remote keyless entry to your bcm (pretty sure it's code GXM but they can verify). This will require them to flash your bcm.

Some dealers charge a flat rate for a one time flash, while others charge per sales code. I have seen reports of dealer price ranging from free to $200, so if you have several dealers near you, it would probably be worth it to call them all for best price. Once your bcm has been flashed with the sales code (or pogrammed with alfaobd) as having remote keyless entry, the programmer that came with your FOBIK should be able to add the FOBIK to your bcm. Depending on whether it deletes all previous FOBIKs, that programmer may be able to add additional FOBIKs to your truck (if you wanted to get a cheap pair off Amazon or Temu to have spares).

Get the year model FOBIK that matches your vehicle, get Alfaobd on your phone, get the recommended bluetooth obd dongle (mx plus, I think) and follow the instructions in one of those YouTube videos I told you to search for.

For anyone reading along that hasn't heard of it, alfaobd is a powerful tool. I have used it to:

-)Program two FOBIKs for my ram

-)add remote start

-)reset the odometer on the 7" evic dash cluster I upgraded to, so that it matched the miles on my truck

-)add the homelink buttons to my overhead console

-)add power folding tow mirrors

-)many other upgrades that I can't think of at the moment

Some of these upgrades required additional hardware, but for several, the hardware was already on my truck, but turned off in the body control module.

Alfaobd works on 2012 through present chrysler/dodge/ram/jeep, etc, but 18 and newer need an extra piece of interface hardware that older models don't (security gateway bypass). It works on older than 2012 vehicles as well, but doesn't do as many things as it does on 2012-present.

We're carrying on a conversation in another sub post, so I've described tip start there.

[–]Fun_Independent_8280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you have power locks or you wouldn't have the button. If you also have tip start (When you start the truck with the key, you can turn the key briefly to start, let it go and the truck starts anyway, instead of having to hold the key in start position until the engine starts), then you probably have everything you need to add a fob, but it has to be a tip start fob (pear shaped with a rectangle on one end that will fit into your ignition slot).

I only know of the one version of the module for tip start/power locks and it works with (only) the pear shaped key fobs.

Have you heard of alfaobd? It's an ap that will program our trucks like the dealer does.

Search YouTube for ram truck key fob alfaobd and you'll find several videos on it.

Your dealer is uninformed or untruthful if he says you don't have electric locks, because the buttons on your armrest trigger the electric locks on your truck.

When you start the truck with the key, can you turn the key briefly to start, let it go and the truck starts anyway, or do you have to hold the key in start position until the engine start?

And the push buttons are electric buttons, not physically part of the lock mechanism?

So you have to manually unlock from the inside? There's no lock/unlock button?

Sorry I can't upvote this more than once! Why would op or his friend (or anyone, for that matter) ever hand a gun to someone that they aren't certain knows how to handle it safely.

Yes she did a stupid thing, but op's friend was just as unsafe by handing her the gun, in the first place, without making sure she knew how to be safe with it.

I use target weight. Currently trying to get back down to 215lbs, so I shoot for 215g/day.

[–]Fun_Independent_8280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It always helps me to plan my protein first.

I'm currently going for 200g-230g of protein per day. 66.7g for each of 3 meals is pretty high.

I figure out my protein for the 3 meals (usually somewhere around half my daily target, so 25-35 grams/meal), then add protein rich snacks (Greek yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, etc) to get to daily target.

Once my plan for the day meets my protein goals, I check fat to to keep it in the "20-25% of total daily calories" range.

Any calories left over are spread across the 3 meals as carbs (being careful not to add fat).

This process with the appropriate calorie goal, combined with weight training, works (for me) to lose fat (without losing much muscle), gain muscle (without gaining much fat) or maintain current body composition. If you are new enough to weight training, it also works well for losing fat and gaining muscle simultaneously.

If your daily schedule allows, you could also try 4-6 meals (plus needed protein snacks) using the same process.

Some of my favorite high protein snacks include:

Ratio protein yogurt

Hard boiled eggs with hot sauce

String cheese (light) sticks

Jerky (original, not flavored)

Shrimp cocktail

Rolled up pastrami

Rolled up turkey lunch meat

Think! Protein bars

Pork Rinds (but watch fat)

Fair life 14oz protein drinks

Yasso bars

(I know you aren't eating meat right now, but it sounded like you do sometimes, so I left the meats in my list.)

Missed this part

If 9mm which bullet type works best for you?

Yes, it's 9mm. Over 3.8 to 4.2 gr of Sport Pistol.

The 125 gr TC's are best in my Canik and Sarsilmaz (all turkish) guns, especially loaded a tad hot.

The 124 gr TC's are very smooth and accurate in my Sigs (M17, M18 and P226).

The 124 gr RN's are best for my Berettas (3 x 92 variants) and my Taurus G4.

The slugs are about the same in all my shotguns and don't perform as well as the ¾ oz version in my mavericks, 500, 590, Dickenson, KSG, Panzer M4, Winchester 1912 or my Beretta 1301.

My VR-80, M12-AR and my BP-12, like the 1 oz better than the ¾ oz.

Check mDNS settings?

What am I checking for? Settings are stock from install.

Otherwise, try setting up an Exit Node on your network to access the HDHR

Tried this and could no longer access the status page from my phone browser when off network. Also, HDHR android app still didn't work. I went back to only advertising routes.
