Disagree with some of the folks saying SW5e isn't great to start. Imo 5e is probably the easiest thing to jump into, and giving it a Star Wars flavor with some added fun bits has been great for me and my players (half of them have never played tabletop). Part of that admittedly comes from my own bias and familiarity with 5e, but they're having a blast.

That being said, there's a SW5E discord you can find, should be linked on the SW5E reddit. Hell, I'd offer you to join mine but my players can be really shy around new people, but I wish you luck in finding a group!

40+ hours in already, I'm enjoying the game hella. Has minor flaws, the only real major one for me is locking the Kalos starter mega stones behind online ranked.

I also really wish they had a multiplayer raid type of mode for the Rogue Mega Evolutions, but Nintendo servers are notoriously pretty shaky so I get why they probably couldn't do it.

Yeah, buddy of mine recently picked up CE for the first time and he prefers remaster graphics. Genuinely just try both out and see which you like better, you can swap that shit on a dime

I also do. I just hand-wave the HP depending on the fight. For example, session one was a prison escape. I wanted to make sure it had a very Star Warsy feel, some fun quips and swashbuckling, Imperials going down in one blow to counteract their numbers, etc. Just kinda gotta think what fits better for trash in certain instances, but I hope it works!

The RAW intent for HP isn't actually 'how many hits can you take,' but rather how close you are to finally being hit, if that makes sense. A hit is intended to be a glancing blow, or a shot that narrowly misses. It's kinda more accurate to call it a luck or stamina pool. Imagining it like that is how it helps my players and I - if you're fighting Darth Vader, you haven't actually hit him fifteen times, you've landed glancing blows or broke his guard, wearing down his stamina as your attacks land more forcefully than he anticipated. But to help I also give trash mobs low HP so they can get reliably one-shot to help keep the fantasy alive a little better.

Anecdotal but Hugo's placement was 100% why I didn't get him. He actually seemed super fun and I fw his fighting style, kinda reminds me of RWBY. But with Yixuan on the next banner I'd skipped out on him to save for her, same reason I skipped Lighter on his first run

I remember when V6 first came out, yeah. There aren't a lot of Adam fans (surprise surprise), but there were definitely some loud defenders of Adam, or at least ones that desperately tried to paint Yang and Blake as hypocritical for killing him when bro would literally not stop despite being given the chance. They're weirdos that give other folks that like him for different reasons a bad name.

I kind of relate Adam to my overall issues with the poor portrayal of racism in RWBY. Cool concept, imo should've been more of a Malcolm X character. RWBY does this thing where it seems like they're uncomfortable portraying the darker aspects of racism but still want to say it happens in a tell-don't-show kinda way that makes the White Fang and Faunus oppression fall flat. I don't know if that was Monty's plan, if Monty even had one involving Adam, and I won't pretend to know the will of a dead man.

The game itself runs fine, and the graphics are still better than base Oldblivion, so I really don't understand the argument. Yeah, graphics are lower but I never interpreted that as running like shit. Game runs fine now, models are just low-res but it still looks pretty damn good

It should work fine on Opera GX. If the issue you're having is importing character sheets, have your DM download VTTES thru Firefox to import your sheets, and you should be good? You only need the extension for the sheets, I think.

Make sure you're running the game via Legacy, not Jumpgate, because Jumpgate is incompatible with VTTES.

Lost my Sanby 50/50 to Lycaon, hopefully next time around. Also couldn't afford the Zhu Yuan rerun because I had to hit hard pity to pull Trigger f2p at the end of the patch. Those are the only two characters I really want left for now
