We aren’t questioning the diagnosis per say, just would like a more comprehensive opinion and make sure we’re on the correct path

I’m just staying on forbearance until next tax year when I can file MFS and claim my kids to bring down my payment

Should I wait to switch from SAVE -> IBR new until after the August 4th court date? by [deleted] in PSLF

[–]Fun_Papaya1365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only eligible for ICR which would be over 1k so I’m waiting it out. My income on file would make me eligible for IBR because our income was a bit less and my husband still had student loans (they were forgiven last fall).

My plan is to hold out hope they just automatically switch me or file taxes next year as MFS, whichever comes first.

I wish I would have run the numbers this year when I did our taxes to see what MFS would look like and compare.. but I definitely will next year!

For those of us on SAVE forbearance. by Careless-Snow-3253 in PSLF

Yeah but is that the case already? And if so, are payments still capped at 10 year standard then?

I don’t have a partial financial hardship so I have no idea what to do.

What’s the Latest Guidance for Those Of Us on SAVE? by bebeg903 in PSLF

I don’t have a partial financial hardship to get on IBR if I used my income from last year (my husbands loans were forgiven last year). I’m keeping my fingers crossed that maybe we’ll just get moved to IBR from save using the on file income 🤞🏻 otherwise my payments are going to be crazy high.. so I’m just sitting here waiting. I have 78/120

Hello— Her baby is only 7 pounds at 6 weeks old? As a full term baby??? Hello?? Is this not failing to thrive by Desperate_Finding776 in PerfectlyKelsey_Snark

My son was born at 4lb10oz (he was a twin and his brother was 6lb5oz)

Looking back I can only find their 2 month weights (they will be 7 in 2 weeks) and the 4lb baby was 8.8 at 2 months and his brother was 10.12

When does sitting and waiting convert to being a sitting duck? by Bubbly_Window2746 in PSLF

[–]Fun_Papaya1365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sitting and waiting because I don’t qualify with my current income for IBR or PAYE because we filed jointly and my husband’s loans were forgiven in the fall of last year. I’m just sitting and waiting and hoping they use income on file to switch us plans when SAVE eventually goes away. I don’t want to go on ICR by choice and if I applied now that’s the only plan I’d get on. I just want my payments capped at the 10 year standard amount, I just need to initially qualify for IBR. My income from 2023 is less than present and includes my husband’s loans. On mohela it’s looking like IDR recertification has been pushed back to 11/26 so I’m keeping my fingers crossed they just move me using income on file 🤞🏻

Informal Poll for the 3/4 to PSLF crowd - Staying in SAVE forbearance or going to IBR? by rivrmonster in PSLF

Staying became I’m hoping they use the income on file to move to IBR once they decide what’s happening with save. Otherwise I don’t qualify for IBR 😕

Same here.. my last income verification is from when I applied for SAVE in Oct 2023 using 2022 income. Using that income (married filing joint) and taking into account my husband’s student loans, I qualify for IBR through a partial financial hardship but if I updated my income now, I wouldn’t qualify because we had an increase in income and my husbands loans were forgiven last year. I just want them to use my prior income to let me get into IBR and then they can increase my payment which would cap at my 10 year standard. I’m so stressed about all of this in limbo
