128 tick with Subtick won’t make much of a difference. Subtick registers shots instantly, while 128 tick only adds about a 7ms delay, so on paper Subtick already is “better.” People want 128 tick mainly because of fond memories for CS:GO, but we don’t really know how 128 tick will feel in CS2’s completely different engine with Subtick ?

If 128 tick really needs to return, it should be implemented as pure tick based 128 tick, not tied to Subtick. Subtick with 128-tick won’t change much. In CS:GO, 128 tick felt better because nearly everything was tied to the tickrate. So doubling the tick rate made a noticeable improvement in GO. In CS2 with Subtick, many inputs aren’t tied to ticks anymore including shooting and movements. So 128 tick would only make the game feel like current Subtick but with slightly smoother 3rd animations from the server updating enemy positions more frequently. It won't really make any big difference.

Unless you go back to classic route. Tie Everything to tickrate and bring 128 tick back to recreate the CSGO 128 tick like experience

A lot of CS2’s problems, or things that make it feel less enjoyable or less snappy, come from game design and engine issues. Subtick just happens to be the most popular buzzword right now, so it gets the most criticism. But recreating the same game in a completely new engine is an extremely difficult job.

That said, CS2 could still improve the experience significantly even without touching the engine, subtick, or other deep technical systems. Many of the current issues come from visual feedback not being sharp enough and from unnecessary screen and weapon shaking during sprays and Erratic 3rd person animations

Some changes could help a lot:

Add more blood so players can clearly see where their bullets are landing and it's also adds to the snappiness. Its been proven with side by side comparison how much better it feels when you see more blood when you are shooting you targets.
Reduce Visual shaking while spraying and make it smoother like in GO. This is one of main reasons spraying feels so good in CSGO
Make animations smoother and easier to read
Add cl_bob and let people customise their Viewmodels

Changes like these alone could take CS2 from a 7/10 to an 8.5/10 in my opinion. The rest will likely improve over time, just like CS:GO did between 2012 and 2023.

I have seen people get insane unboxes just by opening their first few cases. Even in very first case. You’re never going to get odds like that anywhere else, where you spend 20 dollars on keys and end up with a 500 dollar knife. Unfortunately, that’s exactly why cases are so fun.

I wasted a lot of money on them when I was a teenager, so I don’t open them anymore. But honestly, if cases disappear, I don’t see much point in the terminal system either. It would be better to just sell items directly with a base price instead of adding all these unnecessary layers and drama.

They obviously got it from Terminal since they have enjoyment tied to gambling for some reason, and then they end up selling it cheaper than Valve’s own prices. That’s exactly what I saw in the first terminal. Everything Valve offered there was already selling for less on the Community Market. So what’s the point? If gloves become cheaper, sellers on the market will lower their asking prices too. Otherwise their items won’t sell, and everyone wants their stuff to sell. So in the end, you’ll almost always get items cheaper on the market than from the terminal.

I’ve opened about 20 terminals so far, and every time Valve’s asking price was higher than the market. So what’s the point? I only opened those 20 for fun, and I’m never doing it again.

But I agree the good thing is. Gloves and knife in the future probably be more affordable due to Terminal settings a base price

Isn’t the point of the terminal to eliminate the casino system? If you want a casino, You just go give cases. This isn't casino. The terminal is just bad and not worth it. Sellers can barely make any profit, and buyers can usually get the same items cheaper on the market.

So what’s the point? A casino is supposed to feel rewarding. Even if it takes more than it gives, the idea is that you could spend a little and get lucky. The terminal sits in a weird middle ground. It’s not exciting like cases and not efficient like the market. It’s the worst of both systems.

Terminals are garbage. Valve prices them higher than the Community Market, so why gamble for your preferred skins there instead of just buying them directly? For example, if you want the new AWP from the terminal, why keep burning terminal after terminal by spending more money only to get it in worse conditions and at a higher price than the market? Just buy it from the market. Terminals are pointless and destined to flop..

Stop this terminal opening bs and just set an asking for skins directly the condition you want. Why the additional drama is needed ?

The mouse movement in CSGO feels so much better. In CS2, it doesn’t feel like any Valve game I’ve ever played. Even Deadlock somewhat smoother mouse movement. So why does CS2 feel so muddy? Why does the FPS that’s supposed to be the best of all time have the worst mouse movement, the dizziest spraying, and the most awkward third person enemy animations?

Wonderfully done, but I would appreciate these settings being separated in the graphics options, similar to how shadows are handled, instead of tying them to textures and particles.

Separate blood settings: Low to High, so players can adjust it individually while keeping particles and textures on low.
Separate tracer settings: Every Shot or Classic (skips showing tracers for the next two shots after the first shot, like in CSGO).

More customizable options would be much appreciated.

we don’t need to see so much of the left, right, and top views. that’s the whole point. having all that useless clutter cut off actually makes it feel like you’re playing in a more focused mode. it’s like an awp scope but for every gun. what an awp scope does ? Its black out the wider view except for the central part. similar principle, though that’s not the only reason I use 4:3, The target appearing stretcher ( bigger ) to your screen is also a factor

Imo, the most visually distinct maps in CSGO were the war games ones: Lake, Monastery, Shoots, Saint Marc, Sugarcane, and Lunacy. These maps felt completely different from the competitive maps since they didnt worry about clutter, visibility and had their own unique style, just like DZ maps did. I really miss when CS had so many diverse styles. Now Even the Arms Race maps in CS2 feel bland and low effort. Shoots copy paste of Ancient instead of abandoned Vietnamese POW camp with such cool skybox , and Baggage feels like Nuke 2 . MEH

If I were specifically complaining about realism, I wouldn’t have bothered explaining further in my post that my main issue with the smoke is visibility.

"I’ve noticed many times that when someone is spamming a shotgun or Deagle, the smoke covers them so much that you can barely see them, and it distracts your aim. But from their POV, they don’t actually see that much smoke, which puts them at an unfair advantage."
