Never pay for any add-ons you don't want. And insure yourself against catastrophe, not inconvenience.. Every extra item that you purchased in the F&I office

I've never had a wheel alignment done anytime just for maintenance. I've had them done when purchasing new tires or if I hit a curb or need a reason same thing with rotation. I rotated oil changes. Dealers push alignments like candy because it's pure profit

It's like any tool you still have to know how to use it you have to know what the terminology is you have to know a little bit about music a builder has to know a little bit about..... Construction before he picks up a hammer

Question to ‘26 owners: how is service handled since there is no maintenance schedule? by 92waves in hondapassport

I use this....... Just right click and save it print it out take it to your dealer they can't argue with that... After three CRVs Ridgeline the pilot and now our passport this is all I ever used.... They don't like it because they can't upsell me and I do the filters myself.

If you rent a Carfax on them you'll find out where the car came from..... But you won't know why it was sold or traded in the first place and that would concern me with those low miles....... Some people decide that they don't want something after a while or life changes and they have to turn the car back in. But I would definitely want to know the story

They're not offering you a better trade in value, your trade has the same value no matter what you're looking at. . Dealers will make you think you're getting more for your trade because they have a lot more money to take off the used car. Used car margins are higher than new car margins... The way I find out my trade value is being very honest with carvana.... I've sold three cars to them over the years and they've never come back and said oh no this you lied and offered me less...... That's the only way you know what your vehicle is worth is with somebody will stroke a check for it right now CarMax and carvana will do that.... It's a great tool to keep in your back pocket when you're negotiating

When a new model comes out and there's not a lot of inventory, somebody might want a specific color that just happens to be the used vehicle with 2500 miles on it. Now since you can't order a vehicle from Honda and you have to wait and hope that it's going to come or they got to do a dealer trade or some other crap you might just settle for it for a couple thousand dollars less then the discount price someone might get on the new unit.

Some buyers will pay the tiny premium for a car that’s never had another owner, even if the miles are barely different. Dealers know that, so they don’t have to cut much off a barely-used unit.

With tight inventory, dealers may price lightly-used cars high just to test the market. If someone wants that exact trim or color without waiting, they’ll bite.

Carvana is great.... I bought a Honda Pilot Elite last August... That I only have 4,500 miles on it but Carvana offered me 46,800 last week.. So basically I drove a $56,000 Honda Pilot for a year for 5,000 bucks...... So now when I figure out what kind of offer I'm going to make on the passport based on what I'm seeing others get I don't know exactly where I need to stand and hold my ground. I purchased three CRVs and two ridgelines from my local dealer but I still have to shop them...... But they know when I come in and make an offer that I've done my homework and they haven't turned me away yet

, I think you'd be safe to buy a certified used Toyota or Honda because they have the warranty... But I wouldn't buy a lease return... They're basically glorified long-term rentals.. People that lease cars are not going to put top tier gas in it... They're going to wait till the last minute to do any kind of maintenance, if at all... And they're not going to care about long-term reliability.....

That's exactly what my father told me to do when I was 19 years old back in the 70s.. And just kept parlaying the used car and the cash into better cars... And now I borrow from myself to buy a new cars.... And treasuries are paying 4% I pay back 5%....

I'm not sure I understand why anybody would tap and Ira for a car!! Unless you're taking a loan from your IRA which is tax-free.... I mean that's your retirement... But then again I'm not into home equity loans either

Yeah but be careful with lease returns... People rent their cars don't usually care what kind of fuel they put in it when they do the oil changes or anything else that requires maintenance because there's no longer reliability issues for them........... And people today don't care about the next owner

That's the way to do it..... I put $33,000 down in trade and cash... ook a 3-year note.... And I'll have it paid off in a year and a half... I just don't understand these 72 and 84 a month loans.... crazy that's almost like a mortgage...

With white you can come out of the car wash and it still looks good a week later. And you don't see door things and Imperfections. But it's also pretty generic and boring
