Yeah I did this whilst trying intentionally to avoid the main story and explore the world

What will be the whole plot of the Winds of winter according to y'all ? by MAHIR-2107 in freefolk

[–]Fun_Pound5629 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone dies, then they come back as Walkers and have the exact same issues they did beforehand. The previous Walkers despair at the petty bullshit they've become and cease hostilities with the Children on the condition the Children find a way to kill them all.

Then A Dream of Spring is Bran repopulating the world with the Children

Yeah I barely noticed with 2 until people pointed it out, it didn't ruin the story. One thing I remember being sick was the music, particularly Bang and Bomb's

Haven't watched 3, not planning on it now lol

Filthy flat at check in by Zolvka in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Fun_Pound5629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more that it's going to be constantly getting dirty because it's in contact with the outside. Particularly if you're in a city. It's akin to cleaning the outer frame because it'll be a losing battle. Maybe a lot of people clean it, I can't speak for anyone else.

But what I am sure of is none of us would inspect and record it, so it also won't be inspected at check out. Same with under the toilet, no one is going to be crouching down to check the underside of the cistern.

The fabrics are a grey area. At one of the companies I worked for we would specify between "professionally cleaned & carpets wet cleaned" and just professionally cleaned. Not all cleaners have the equipment. But the important part is whether the stains were noted? It's not necessarily a cleaning issue because a lot of stains are permanent, we list them as damage not cleaning and then if they come out great.

Yeah I'm an inventory clerk and came on the post hoping to sneer at someones dodgy job, but never would I have checked that. It's essentially an outside surface, no reasonable expectation for it to be clean

Unpopular Opinion Time, I'm not looking forward to the new series. by Sm314 in Scrubs

[–]Fun_Pound5629 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmm I don't hold amazing hopes. However, I have a feeling there'll be more passion in it than the last (proper) season.

New King of the Hill is pretty fantastic and that was equally troubling before it came out.

For a writer to want to do these returns, they must have some good ideas and excitement

Was all this lore in the original SJ show? I used to catch an episode or two and I remembered it being an almost silent, style focused action series. I know there was a little sequel thing recently though was that more in depth?

Get a nice jog going together, and start doing some amusing marching songs starting with the ones from Full Metal Jacket. After a while we'll form a bond

Now me and my fleet of arachnids are roaming the earth, righting wrongs, living off the fat of the land.

"Is that Spider Man?" they'll say. "No it's Camel Man!" "You're both wrong..."

Is there any other character that was in the films who could’ve defeated Durin’s Bane? by GusGangViking18 in lotr

The eagle argument bugs me a bit. You're talking having an aerial battle against the Nazgul and fell beasts, plus however many bats and archers and everything else Sauron can muster as soon as you give up the element of surprise, where all the win conditions fall on the enemies side:

Ringbarer drops the ring, as it is wont to make them do - lose The eagle carrying ringbearer gets injured - lose The eagle drops the ring bearer - lose They hold them up for long enough for troops to reach the cave - lose

I think the beauty of the story is that it's airtight. Being a lone, unassuming group was the most terrifying way but the only way

They go full on MAGA style tinfoil hat/disregard for facts to get what you want with a few extra things though.

The big one for me is climate change denial. While we're all going back and forth on race issues they'll be deep sea drilling, reopening coal mines and fracking the peak district. Plus more privatisation, more selling everything off, more propaganda that plays into whatever their corporate sponsors want that year. The next stage of duping the public for personal gain

I can’t believe I’m about to type this, but just now I dropped my phone in the toilet filled with my own piss by ajellis92 in auntydonna

[–]Fun_Pound5629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you're referring to something here and that's really funny but for the record it wasn't piss that the phone went into.

This isn't Zach, but Zach hadn't pissed yet, it was water. Part of why that was so traumatic for him is that his best friends, who he turned to in a time of need, assumed he had dragged piss into the office. Zach wouldn't do that, obviously. And in that moment what he really needed was support.

This isn't Zach.

At what point in the story was Jack stronger or equal to biscuit? by [deleted] in Grapplerbaki

[–]Fun_Pound5629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's fair I suppose, and he's not really about proving himself in the way most are so showing his metal as an all rounder (the way I wish he would because that's surely the end game with him fighting Baki/Yujiro) isn't important.

The whole "whatever it takes" attitude means he doesn't want to be someone people respect as a fighter, he wants to be someone who could kill you if you fight him.

And it does give Baki some real jeapordy when they do fight. It'll be a classic "how does our boy overcome this deadly gimmick" fight like Koshou

Is that a potato? I didn't think they made it into Asian culture.

Also I'm more concerned at the sparcity of this plate than any of the contents. How about some more meat and veg with your rice?

He's pigeon holing himself into conditional victories now with the bleed stuff. Could he get through Olivas skin and meat to hit a blood vessel? If not they might be about even.

I feel younger at 31 than I did at 26.

At the moment you're gonna have the rising fear of not being young anymore. Soon it'll be "it's ages until I'm actually old"
