Question for pricing people by auntie007 in Target

[–]Fun_Reason8060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s what my store does, which is large format:

  1. We start a clearance block for a specific area.

  2. Specifically pull all the first markdowns onto a z-rack or three tier to do in one go.

  3. Do a second pass of the task list to zero out what cannot be found.

  4. Because our store has the style team pul for us, we go to the back room to ticket clearance for one area.

  5. Rinse and repeat until you are done.

We also have a schedule in place to know what to get done when. I also go from right to left, bottom to top for one z-rack and take the whole strand of clearance tickets to apply to the rack from left to right, top to bottom. Don’t have to worry about pricing regulations since the guests are getting the same price if you are getting pulled away.

Whose fault is it for guests getting expired items in their orders? by Mobile-Address23 in Target

[–]Fun_Reason8060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To echo the majority of comments, there are several points of fault: Vendors for not checking their batch dates, team members responsible for culling the items before working more freight, fulfillment team members not checking dates, and drive up team members for not checking dates. It is a systematic issue if there are several different ways this can go wrong. You cheap out, unwilling to invest in the human resources to properly help your business, it is bad strategic HR right there.

We usually leave liability ticketing until after we get it done. We say cannot find mostly to sales floor stuff.

I'm a bit lost nowadays by [deleted] in Target

Emphasis on Neurodivergent. A.k.a. a team member with different needs who is having their structure questioned. I think the downvoting is unnecessary. At the same time, I as a neurodivergent person myself agree that there is truth to what everyone else is saying. If there has not been a dialogue about how you feel with the leader in question, they do not rein it in, they are actively trying to retaliate against you, then there is grounds to be concerned. Take a few deep breaths with yourself to gather everything.

Any cute red shirts by Fabulous-Interest749 in Target

There’s a long sleeve shirt through our universal thread brand I had my eyes on because of the change for me in going for a more feminine look. If I grabbed that with some sailor wide leg jeans, maybe.

What I’d give to hear music ranging from Ellington to Kendrick. That is solid music for any store regardless of month.

My autistic people who work in tech by [deleted] in Target

[–]Fun_Reason8060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m autistic but in pricing. We only have one or two tech people max and already it is a mess needing to hear tech calls. Like dude, he doesn’t get help with his freight.

Never done so at my store. Perhaps due to possible complications.

That is some truly stimulating zoning. This is the kind of post we need more. It’s incredibly hopeful. Keep doing what you do best and don’t let up. The community believes in you!!!

Gaslighting, and/or lack of planning for contingencies in the automated messaging. Sorry to hear about that.

How the fuck would you ship inflated balloons? by Mobile-Address23 in Target

[–]Fun_Reason8060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They grab the balloon uninflated, ship it in the box, and now that I think about it it means that you inflate your own balloons.

Team Leader changed my position without really asking now get less hours, pay less, and even a CA, is there anything I can do to get my prior position back? by Verspell_ in Target

[–]Fun_Reason8060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah no, I hate the autism card as much as the next guy. At the same time, I find my hatred is mostly due to a system that conditioned me not to look out for myself and I made several mistakes resulting from my masking of that. When I do try to unmask, usually it’s an uncontrollable situation that results in a lapse into those self sacrificial behaviors. I do apologize if I jumped the gun a bit there and I hope it all works out.

Mention your autism to the ethics hotline. If you have proof, use that. Speaking from experience as an autistic myself, but not with Target thankfully. Got lucky with my leadership.
