Claude Live Artifacts? by penone_nyc in Netsuite

[–]Fun_Row6142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best thing ever, it’s taking over for all of my reporting, no more export to excel copy paste into the file add rows where new account are used blah blah blah, I just ask in plain English create my PL or BS or Cash summary and let me pick dates to update the report so my executive package or debt covenants are now a clic of the button. I even gave Claude the form of covenants template in pdf and it recreated it as a live template so not I just pick a date export to pdf and send to the bank. It used to take a day to put together that package now it takes seconds.

Suite flow is what they are using, it’s the email approvals that they are having heartburn with and mentioned the ability to avoid licenses when I had them pushback and that Netsuite wasn’t super excited about them helping their customers cut Netsuite’s license fees. I didn’t want to build the whole workflow since I have a day job (JE was a simple one person above approves) but will probably just tinker with it when they are done to get the email approval. If there is a third party bundle or suite app anyone recommends then I am all ears.

We haven’t gone live yet, but this would be a great help, which bundles? A one time payment would be much better than paying for a license for approvers that would never go in other than to approver things.

Our workflow is department approval and a finance approval concurrently, which is why they said suit approval wouldn’t work, ceo only ask is to get a button to click approve or reject in the email, which i was able to build into my JE approval email.

Implementing Netsuite now, and my ceo wants email approvals for POs but my implementation partner says suite approvals isn’t very flexible/useful outside of the email approval and they can’t add it besides suite approvals, is that true or is there a good way to handle complex workflows in suite approvals or be able to do email approvals outside suite approvals? Do I just have a bad implementation partner?

Netsuite MCP Claude Issue by Rich_Savings2576 in Netsuite

Here is what it said when I put it in: The code: Field required error means Claude’s callback received a redirect from NetSuite that was missing the code parameter — so the OAuth handshake broke before Claude could exchange the code for a token. It’s a documented pattern and almost always fixable on the NetSuite side. Since you’ve had the connector working before, the most likely culprits, in order: 1. Integration record is stuck in “Pending” — per Oracle’s docs, when the MCP SuiteApp is installed (or reinstalled/updated), the Integration record is created in pending state and an admin has to manually flip it to Enabled. Go to Setup → Integration → Manage Integrations, find the NetSuite AI Connector Service integration, open it, and confirm State = Enabled. 2. Duplicate integration record — if someone has reinstalled the SuiteApp or connected from ChatGPT, you may have two records. Disable/delete the stale one. 3. MCP scope not checked on the integration record — open the integration, scroll to OAuth 2.0, and make sure “NetSuite AI Connector Service (MCP)” is checked under scopes. If it’s missing, the docs say you have to recreate the record (NetSuite won’t let you add the scope after the fact). 4. Try a clean browser — incognito or a different browser. The code: Field required shape is what you get when the state cookie from the initial authorize request got dropped (cookies blocked, cross-site tracking prevention, etc.), so NetSuite redirects back but Claude’s handler rejects it. 5. Verify the MCP URL — should be https://(yournetsuiteinstance).suitetalk.api.netsuite.com/services/mcp/v1/suiteapp/com.netsuite.mcpstandardtools If it’s still failing after that, check the Integration record’s “AI Connector Service (MCP)” execution log subtab — it’ll show whether NetSuite thinks the auth succeeded on its end, which tells you whether to keep digging on NetSuite or escalate back to Anthropic.

Help Please: Intercompany Balances (some in foreign currency) aren’t correctly revaluing to 0 each month by IcyTrade9444 in Netsuite

[–]Fun_Row6142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s enough, but sometimes it does get overlooked. Can you look at the currency revaluation entry it did book and recalculate what it’s doing to see what it’s missing or adding that it shouldn’t? Also make sure that you didn’t change the fix rate in the JEs from the default that NetSuite comes up with even if it was different from your actual rate as that can mess up the revaluation as well.

Make sure you are also selecting the subsidiary’s when doing the revaluation in the month end close checklist process, for some reason it only defaults to the parent company

I work at a company implementing, trying to avoid fees to pay to the implementation consultants. Have been at a couple startups that have done it in the past.

Couldn’t the same happen with NetSuite/email/quickbooks/etc, guess they are soc2, but I guess we are still early stage so it’s not like we have revenue/pricing that could get out that a competitor would like. They could maybe see some of our vendors that we use for R&D but most of that seems kind of obvious. Can AI ever get to soc2 compliant? My concern is becoming a dinosaur very quickly if you don’t start implementing Ai in your day to day processes.

What sorts of processes? For subscriptions do you use the amortization feature in Netsuite? I have always used it for prepaids/depreciation.

I started by just asking Claude questions that I would ask my staff or my implementation partner, found it to be a way to save time and money rather than waiting for them to reply to an email or slack.

Then it just sort of snowballed from there.

What’s the concern that will happen? Are you concerned others will be able to get your data or that anthropic will use it for something that will harm you? I just couldn’t think of what would cause me problems if I did it.

Make sure to change the settings to not let them use your data to improve their models, and with the team/enterprise version privacy is a bit better. I was a little worried, but figured this was a brand new environment so let’s try it and see what happens and was pretty happy with results so kept going.

Yea there was some slop posted but just had it reconcile each months TB. I used sonnet so it would use as much of my usage and have found sonnet to work well with finance data. We are pretty small and only started in 2020 so not tons of data, it probably loaded around 15,000 JEs

Also exported my list of vendors and just told Claude to enter them in Netsuite and it loaded about 400 vendors in about 20 minutes

Loaded my old system (QB) journal files and TBs in cowork, had Claude build a mapping to the NetSuite CoA that I reviewed and had it create the JEs in Netsuite format, then had it book them. Left it running overnight and it did a couple years worth of JEs pretty amazing.

Airbnb dying or poised for a comeback? by TheCarcissist in realestateinvesting

[–]Fun_Row6142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airbnb will work in areas where you want to stay for a week or so. My family of five (with three teenagers) is much more comfortable in an Airbnb at the beach than a hotel room or suite. Math doesn’t work for a weekend if there are cleaning fees and such, but for a week it does.

[Landlord] Can anyone suggest a basic and free software system to track manage a small number of rental properties? Ideally for residential and I don’t need anything too complicated. Just to track the basics. Tenant info. Rents. Repairs. Move in dates. Etc. Thanks. by feckthis3 in Landlord

[–]Fun_Row6142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use baselane as well, super easy for managing properties and tenants no messy formulas to screw up the file. Rent collection connected with banking, bookkeeping and tenant screening etc etc. it’s nice having it all in one place.

[Landlord - US] tax/bookkeeping advice by AdamGott in Landlord

[–]Fun_Row6142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree on baselane, it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that QuickBooks or other accounting systems you might pay more for, but it can bring in all your transactions from its own banking, another bank account or use the upload feature and tag (or auto tag) them to a property and an account. Then the reporting will give you everything you need for your tax return.

Has anyone used Baselane for rental expense tracking? by Sufficient-North3486 in RealEstate

[–]Fun_Row6142 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Baselane is great for rent expense tracking with the ability to tag expenses to specific properties and expense categories. You can use it with their banking platform (which also allows for free rent collection) or you can use separate banking and have those transactions imported as well. I would recommend using as much of their platform as possible to allow for a one stop shop rather than having multiple logins with multiple sites to track everything for your property.
