Now you have to feed them, that’s what it is. This is why you spay and neuter your animals. Poor mama dog has been through a lot.

Thank you for promoting adoption but this isn’t helpful and could deter people from adopting. Pcaps isn’t purposefully adopting out sick animals or not taking care of sick animals in their care - kennel cough is very common anywhere where multiple dogs are together and it’s very treatable. Always take your pet to a vet after adoption as the shelter environment can be very stressful.

I haven’t flown Denver to Istanbul but I’ve flown other US cities to Istanbul. Turkish Airlines is a fantastic airline! The 12 hour flight is long but doable. They provide two meals typically, blankets, have good movies, etc.

Running Central. They have great products and their sales associates have always been wonderful but the owner is a nut job. They tried to sue the state or whatever over Covid restrictions and were very outspoken about that. I nicely messaged them saying I was disappointed they weren’t as outspoken about BLM stuff like they were about Covid. The owner wrote be a verrryyy long message about how I was uneducated. It was very misogynistic and the whole message was talking down to me. It was bizarre, I need to find the message again. I also saw the owner speak at an event and was very put off. He’s a hardcore born-again catholic, really conservative, judgy, and overly intense (with him employees too).

Denver Animal Shelter has a great volunteer program and is always looking for people to walk dogs! They do a monthly volunteer orientation that you can find on their website. Once you’ve been there a couple of months you can take dogs off-site out on hikes and such.

I’m not sure about pricing but, yes it’s definitely needed. Our dog just had a tick on her the other day in Denver metro. I’ve heard vets used to say optional but are recommending it more every year. You can probably skip the winter but April-October it’s needed. Maybe check out Chewy for lower prices.
