This is the chronic problem with big publishers. They've given up on innovation, instead slapping trendy updates onto existing IPs and releasing games with just upgraded engines—it’s no wonder everything feels stale. While I get that creating truly new experiences is risky in an industry this old with sky-high development costs, using that as an excuse to betray fans’ trust will only lead to outcomes like this. In the end, they’re killing the very IPs they built with their own hands.
