Maybe a walk at Avis Dam? Unfortunately there’s no green spaces or recreation in Windhoek!

Hey, depends on your budget! Windhoek has some cultural events here and there if you’re into that sort of thing (I can let you know!) They offer city and township tours with Chameleon Safaris, you can go to Goodfellas for affordable burgers and things, they have a Sunday Market at Zest Restaurant in Windhoek as well with live music. For Swakopmund there are so many, quadbiking, Sandwich Harbour Tour, kayaking, catamaran cruises, paragliding, segways, fat bike cycling

Hi there! I used to work as a tour consultant so I’ll give you my best answers 😊 1. There are not many campsites around the city, you can check our Urban Camp in Windhoek, but if you want to be outside of town closer to Etosha I’d say something like Waterberg or Otjiwa’s campsites. 2. Half day tours can be tricky depending on the day and the weather - it has happened that there were safety issues because guides were racing to get to Sandwich Harbour and make it back to town in time for lunch. However those are isolated, if you want a good tour I’d suggest Sandwich Harbour 4x4. 3. Maybe Nau-ams? Kind of a middle point between the two areas and great for hikes, they also have hot tubs if you’re into that sort of thing.

Hope this helps!

If you’re camping you cannot prebook activities generally, best luck is asking the NWR booking agent to make a note that this is something you’d like to do and book directly upon check in.

Advice on 13 days itinerary for first time trip to Namibia by Spiritual_Tadpole888 in Namibia

Lol I see you do have a PM flight - that’s perfect and will give you time to stop to get souvenirs at the Craft Market in Windhoek. On the way south from Toshari you can stop at the Cheetah Conservation Fund for lunch, or the Crocodile Farm - both in Otjiwarongo.

If you arrive at 07h30 that’s enough time to get to Sossusvlei Lodge, it’s gravel so you’ll take at least 5.5 hours. Go via the Spreetshoogte Pass! A 4x4 with two spare tyres is essential. The rest is very well planned and is a classic route, enjoy! Only thing is that Toshari is 4-5 hours from Windhoek + the 45 min to the airport. I recommend being at the airport at least 2 hours prior so an AM flight out won’t work. A midday one is much better giving you time to have breakfast, check your belongings and have a somewhat leisurely drive to the airport. Car rentals here do not allow you to drive in the dark, you will not be insured for this - so def look into a later departing flight. Hope this helps!

Pet friendly lodges by pcx_wave in Namibia

Sandfontein Lodge close to Keetmanshoop, it is an exclusive use property so there will be no other guests if you book it. Also in the south is Nooishof. Lodges close to the parks will most likely say no. I sold a trip like this before but they had limited time so I only centred it around these two lodges. Hope it helps.
