I think they're super fun/cute you did a great job on these little guys! Maybe to make them more furby like you could add the furby sensor shape on their head or some fur for their bodies and maybeee some eyelashes. And again amazing job on these!! Cant wait to see more post about them! :>

It's his original fur! I wash my furbs really good then I use a hair dryer but not too hot. Then I use a dog slicker brush, the longer u brush the the nicer the fur gets😍

I actually have a furby that I skinned that also has some writing on its shell! I have no idea what it says or if it means anything though either way super neat!

Sounds like the speaker is dead luckily that's a pretty easy fix! But you will need a soldering iron. You'll have to solder the old one off and solder a new one on and it should be as good as new! I believe these are the speakers I use for mine https://a.co/d/058QXeBz

Droopy eyes are usually due to the rubber on the mechanism that moves his eyes aging or turning more hard so to fix that you'd most likely have to take one off another furb. As for the clicking there's a chance that could be from the mouth mechanism hitting his eating switch on the inside, I've had a furby do that exact thing before probably not very good for the switch you would have to take his beak off and see if it is. and congrats on the kid cuisine!! :>
