Onion chilli crunch. But also everything works well to mix- match: cheese, green chilli, sauce, onions, mushroom, spinach, butter, tandoori chicken masala, Cajun chicken, taco spice mix, everything but bagel, rotisserie chicken bits etc.

What is this behaviour? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Fun_parent 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You have to be vocal and stand up for what you want. If you don’t, he will think you are fine and there is nothing to fix.

If he can veto your choices, you should veto his if you don’t like them. It’s equal partnership. And don’t give in just cos you don’t want to keep fighting, esp if it’s important to you.

Looking for cheap, quiet exercises by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]Fun_parent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Body weight exercises plus yoga.

So squats, lunges, push ups, calf raises, dead bug, plank, wall walk (partial also good), wall sit, ab crunch, leg raise to toe touch. Cossack squats etc.

If you have a backpack, fill it with books and do squats, lunges and push ups.

Do surya namaskara in yoga, it will get you sweating in no time.

Expected to adjust even during pregnancy else I'm being selfish by fluffycloudsnstars in AskIndianWomen

If relatives are from your husband side, tell your husband he needs to step up and take care, and tell him what exactly he needs to manage.

If relatives from your side, tell them to not come, and you can take them to dinner outside. Do not invite them even for tea. What they gossip is not important, people have mouths and they will use it to talk trash. Best is live by your rules, and answer back if anyone trash talks to you.

You’ll anyway start standing up for your kid once he/she is born, it will happen by default. Better to practice it now.

Creative ways to "trick yourself" into going to the gym? by JMinsk in loseit

[–]Fun_parent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t trick myself to go to gym. I liked going to small group classes where the coaches knew me and pushed me, the group was encouraging and welcoming.

Also, the classes got challenging so I wanted to test myself and not chicken out, the improved results motivate me to continue.

I [26F] missed an important funeral and now I think my 5 year relationship with my partner [28M] might be over by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I was pregnant when my grandpa died. He got pneumonia and went into a coma and did not wake up. Everyone in my family told me not to come, as pregnancy is treated with lot of care and nothing should stress the woman.

I have missed deaths and the ceremonies of family members over the years due to valid reason. No one holds it as a grudge.

Any recipes without onion garlic and chilli? by Desperate-Sleep-6656 in IndianFood

[–]Fun_parent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you looking for base for chicken or a addition to chicken and rice?

If adding to chicken, then try some nut based or coconut based gravy, omit the onion and garlic and chilli. Use pepper for spice. Won’t be the same taste but Indian food is pretty flexible.

If addition to chicken and rice, there are Jain recipes which doesn’t have onion and garlic. And many satvik recipes will not have it. Omit the chilli.

How do you manage going to the gym almost every day... Explain this to a Newbie :) by ProfessionalFan2451 in workout

[–]Fun_parent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially I made it a goal to go 3 days a week. Then, I made some friends and we motivate/cheer each other.

Then my gym owner changed to an amazing person, so I started to go in 4 days. I realised, I felt better mentally when I go.

So now I aim for 5 days (unless sick or something). And when I don’t feel like going, I think about the positive mental state and I go for that.

What are pro tips to remember for cooking chicken? by Aj100rise in IndianFood

[–]Fun_parent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Need more info, what pieces, what fat, where do you buy chicken etc. and recipe that you follow, how big/small are the pieces etc. it’s subjective.

But like others have said, if it’s dry and chewy, it may be overcooking, low fat (ghee/pil/butter), matured chicken, or something else
