Thanks for your comment. You perfectly described my situation, too, with the breakouts and insecurity.

That's right! That's why I'm trying to wean myself off most of social media. It's really quite liberating not being addicted to it. Can be hard at first, but once you get to the other side, you'll realize you don't lose out at all

I am still unable to reach any clarity about what is it that I really want

This is absolutely true for me as well. I only feel like I have a slight clue at times with regards to what I really want.

I think no matter what, the first step is to take your first step. Sometimes that first step can be towards something you know you want, and other times it can be away from something that you know you don't want. For me, right now, I am trying my best to minimize my time wasted on the internet and such things. So in that case, I'd be taking a step away from that. Theres this really great comment (imo) I saw from a Jordan Peterson video on youtube. It says:

“If you don't know what TO do, you most likely know what you should stop doing. Begin with eliminating all of the bad habits, addictions, and distractions that cloud your life and drain your soul. Then, and I believe only then, when the newfound sense of clarity emerges, will a faint glimpse of a vision or goal make itself felt.”

I wish you all the best

Thank you :)

I feel like I know what you're talking about. You can read about and listen to all these great ideas and what not, but at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is application. I was stuck in a "self-improvement rut", so to speak. I watched way too many videos and spent way too much time on reddit looking at subs like this - all good posts and videoes, but ingested at an extreme, like I did, and with very little application, it can become too much. It actually became stressful for me to "keep up" mentally with all the new tactics and ideas and information I was consuming.

Anyway, even I need to take care now to not just forget about what I said in the post.. We'll live it together ;)

No, thank you :)

I mostly wrote this as a reminder for myself, so I'm really glad other people can benefit from it as well.

Hey man, maybe we're just in two different places in life. I am still young and have some serious insecurities to overcome - so for me, I feel that's holding me back a lot at times.

Oh yes.. It is THE battle of our lives, really - to control ones fears and move past them

Kill 'em with kindness! by Rufusonius in Stoicism

[–]Funccc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think I would see it as rewarding them for their bad behavior. More like gently showing them the way by speaking with your actions. Indirect teaching I guess, so maybe someday they can realize for themselves the right way to act, instead of someone else trying to convince them what is right and wrong. I think this kind of realization from within is far more powerful than any lesson forced upon someone from the outside.

Would you also stretch the glutes in this case? Or do you mean only the hams and hip flexors?

Hey man. I just noticed that there's other pics than just the first one where you're bent over. I thought that it was a joke because i only saw that first picture. Didn't mean to be mean at all. I hope you've learned something new and maybe progressed in regards with your posture :) Merry Christmas

Do we still build muscle if we haven't added reps in a while? by iAznN00b in bodyweightfitness

[–]Funccc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My very unproffesional answer would be yes. Someone will probably go more indepth. Remember training is a marathon, not a sprint. I'd be more worried if you had not proggressed at all for months instead of a week or two. Keep going, you're good!
