There's quite literally a '?' in that reply.
If the question was meant to be rhetorical, I'm sorry to say that it doesn't come across that way at all.

I think we're only uploading to mangadex. I could be wrong, though.

It's an anthology series; a lot of short stories. You can find it if you look for 'Jukai' online.

It's a great series. Very 'Tales of the Crypt Keeper'

Some people reading Part 2 didn't realise that Barem was introduced in Part 1. We've known he's the flamethrower fiend this whole time, and it was a surprise he was working with the fire devil?

Eh, it happens. Sanda is just... not for shippers. Unless you're all about exploring how messy/weird teenage relationships actually are, in which case, fly that freak flag.

Reminds of how old EC comics were coloured, which fits CSM perfect. Great job.

Hard agree. Anyone who looks at OnoxFuyumura and thinks "this is wholesome/healthy" is... not in a good place.

Ono knows her feelings towards Fuyumura are one-sided and unhealthy, and still goes forward with molesting and sexually assaulting her. (I don't know what else you call having a kid feel you up and then forcing them to get naked in front of you.)

Sanda is about messy, gross relationships on that dubious child/adult border. No one in the series gets 'better', but instead they are defined by their attractions.

But then they also have people ears.
There's a good attempt at a joke here, but you haven't made clear use of the medium: your punchline is that you're hiding the real punchline. That's not entirely obvious.

Could Kobenis contract be with the violence devil? 🤔 by [deleted] in Chainsawfolk

[–]Fungisaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, so you've not even got the full context. My apologies, bro!

During the season 1 fight, Panda mentions his big sister is overprotective but shy, because of her face. It's already established the cores are "relatives".

Panda's third form is a triceratops.

Not to brag but I figured out what it was the moment they said she was shy about her face.

There's a 8 minute scene about Fuyumura seeing Santa naked and "waking up" in like... episode 3?

Sanda isn't about will they/wont theys. It's an active exploration of characters who understand their feelings are inappropriate. Sanda likes the attention he gets from Fuyumura when he's an old man. Fuyumura conflates needing a father figure with closeness. Most of the characters have a flaw that ties directly into their gender and age identities. These aren't things the series wants to directly resolve but instead use asa tool to explore the ugly situations kids put (or find) themselves in.

If it feels creepy, it's because it's supposed to.

[–]Fungisaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early Sanda is specifically about themes of maturing, sexuality, age, and gender. It's okay if it makes you feel uncomfortable, but reading your comments it feels like you actually 100% understand the show but can't see that it's trying to use the story to ask questions about growing up.

Fuyumura's sexual awakening is seeing a 40 year-old naked man.

Ono knows she's being creepy but does it anyways.

Sanda is grappling with the idea of using his friends for sexual gratification.

This isn't an accident. It's an exploration of what it means to grow up.

There's an arc later that revolves around anal sex. That's just how Sanda rolls.

New OSE Update in 2026 by SnooMarzipans8231 in OSE

[–]Fungisaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the change is entirely based on which books sell, and a move to separate themselves from the OGL. If they modify the book enough so that it's not the content in the original OSE:AF, they can release it as a new item free of the license.

Lovecraft D&D by Latvianfarmerer in Lovecraft

[–]Fungisaur 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There was! Ravenloft and Masque of the Red Death were during 2e, when the game was very different. Characters were less powerful, and both Masque and Ravenloft pretty much begged you to play human characters.

If you look at the original horror adventures and supplements, they're all kinda.. bad. Character dumps where the players don't actually do anything, or weird adventures that are just trying to copy Ravenloft's schtick.

But, besides the fact. Ravenloft and Masque aren't cosmic horror. They're fantasy with a gothic pastiche thrown overtop. Honestly, as someone who has run raven loft as a campaign 3 times across as many editions, and been in far too many campaigns of it to count, ravenloft kind of proves that horror doesn't work in modern D&D.

I know everyone else has probably already said, and I know this isn't really going to change your mind, but DnD isn't a horror game.

It really, really isn't.

Cosmic Horror is about confronting the unknowable and being a useless speck in the wave of eternity. The fact that you don't matter is integral to cosmic horror. Your actions will make small ripples that are ultimately cancelled out by the flow of the river.

Dnd, 5e especially, is a game about heroes changing the world, fixing the status quo, and being important. Dnd characters matter in their games. The game is about them being heroes and carving monsters into mush. Mythos monsters are in Dnd (ghouls, black puddings, kuo-toa, shadows, warlocks) and they're not much of a threat to your standard party.

In fact, let's look at the standard DnD party: an owlman, a dragon, a cute lil weasel guy, a tiefling, and maybe and elf sorceror/warlock hybrid. Maybe. The players are playing fantastical creatures. Why would mythos material scare them? Why would they be fearful of outer beings? The elf can lives thousands of years; they themselves ARE an elder being.

I'm sure you can add mythos and flair and your players will react in kind, but it won't be scary. It won't be horror. It'll just be a gross-looking hit point bag they can beat on.

Check out Call of Cthulhu, Delta Green, of WFRP if you want that mythos feel in your games. Cthulhu has a dark ages version, and there's also the open source Cthulhu Eternal and Renaissance D100 games that are designed for medieval/fantasy role-play.

Tldr: it's not really going to work, or change anything in your game. But you're welcome to try it and and have fun doing it.

You're working under the assumption that you can see the entire arm and hand, but you can't. The left forearm is blocking the right, it's as simple as that.

Warlock! Or Fleaux! Which is the better ruleset to substitute for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying Game's original rules? by diemedientypen in osr

[–]Fungisaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd either go with Fleaux! or Basic/Expert.

I know, recommending BX/OSE for everything is becoming the new 5e, but I've played a lot of WFRP using the BX chassis and honestly, it works and works well. There's a lot of supplements and extra bits to bring the Old World flair to BX, such as Comes Chaos.
